O(c)tavio’s EP brings together a South American crew of producers who all share the same name and a passion for high-quality techno. The A1 kicks off with "Fadeface" by producer Otavio aka Fadeface, a rolling, driving cut that balances weight with groove. A2 follows with a no-nonsense loopy techno heater by Octavio, 1/3 of the Paraguayan group LPZ — pure dancefloor pressure, stripped and effective. On the flip, Argentinian artist Octavio Octavio brings a bit more swing with a groovier B1, still rooted in the floor but with a fluid touch. Closing things out is a collaborative B2, combining all their styles into one cohesive, heavy-hitting statement. Pressed to vinyl and wrapped in stunning artwork by the talented Brazilian graphic designer Otavio Santiago. Turns out, putting a bunch of O(c)tavios in the studio results in one hell of a techno record.

Volverá a Brillar is the debut statement from Stroc, a bright new talent on Spain’s techno scene, forged in the late-night heat of Club Gordo and now holding court at Spook alongside Finalversion3. Across four tracks, he guides us through diverse sonic realms, united by a singular appetite for pushing the dancefloor into fresh, unexpected territory.

Distant Volume opens proceedings with a mesmerising build-up: layers of undulating basslines and meticulous percussion coils stretch the heartbeat until a crystalline surge of harmonics erupts. It’s an invitation to explore Stroc’s world, where every frequency sketches new horizons.
With Dune, the EP traverses into vast, arid expanses: sober, insistently grooving rhythms underpin sand-blasted textures and looping synth motifs that ebb and flow like wind-sculpted dunes. This is minimalist power at its most gripping, rooted in techno’s heritage yet firmly focused on tomorrow.

The title track, Volverá a Brillar, reveals Stroc’s most emotive core: ascending melodies glint like shafts of light breaking through storm clouds, while warm, rounded percussion pulses with hope. It’s a testament to resilience and renewal—an affirmation that, even in darkness, brilliance always returns.

Finally, Oasis delivers reprieve in this sonic desert: liquid atmospheres and enveloping pads cradle a gentle groove, inviting the listener to exhale and savour the journey so far. It’s the calm before you’re drawn back into the fray—an essential moment of reflection.
Volverá a Brillar isn’t merely an EP; it’s a bold declaration of intent from an artist who has honed his craft in Valencia’s early-morning hours and now radiates confidence on Spain’s techno firmament.

Subsequence - Ritual Dance

Granada-based DJ and producer Larsson returns to Beluga Tracks with his next EP, a release that takes his hypnotic and high-energy sound to the next level.

Co-founder of Fasta Danza and resident at T-Label, Larsson discovered electronic music at an early age, although his producer side only emerged in 2020. Since then his tracks have landed on respected labels such as Analogue Network, Valor Hannover, Synergie, Drama BCN and Ri7mo. His music has been supported by international heavyweights including Richie Hawtin, Dax J, Setaoc Mass, Volvox, Kwartz and Blue Hour.

Alongside his originals, this new EP comes with remixes by Fergus Sweetland, Louis The 4th with his alias Erahcli, and E2NMN. Fergus, Melbourne-born and now London-based, brings his deep groove-driven storytelling shaped by years of boundary-pushing productions with Hayes Collective and beyond. Louis The 4th, a vinyl purist and relentless digger, channels his raw and precise techno energy, while with Erahcli he reveals a more introspective and dub-infused side. From Berlin, E2NMN, co-founder of Warum nicht? Kollektiv, delivers her emotional and powerful sound.
