B1. Honzo goes all out on this acid, fast-paced stomper. This is for the darkest of basements. It keeps on going relentlessly.

B2. Breakbeat chaos from Stingrays, much like the old Industrial hay-days. This is not for the faint of heart.

Round two from the VOLPHONIE stable in Paris follows a powerhouse debut that was been backed by Mixmag with it’s Marcel Fengler remix, and topped sales charts as they once again show how to put together another revered package of DJ friendly beats and great depth in production, curated by label boss and Rex Club resident Chris Honorat.

Blicz supplies three original works on his Mineral EP that solidifies his hype as a super talented creator. Contributing with a wide variety of remixes are Barcelona based Flug, Andre Kronert in Germany and Drafted from Italy.

For this DT:Premiere we were blown away by the “2nd Story” remix from Andre Kronert that focuses on a thick, groove-fuelled rhythm at its heart. A phat synth growls with authority, demanding attention with an empirical sound, like something straight out of a science fiction score… absolutely glorious.

So what Ion did, was to give the original a harder feel, by using a really agressive kick and a quite solid bass line. 
He starts his arrangement with the original's drone bass pad, then he empties the track leaving nothing but the kick and bass, and then, in his first break he introduces an arpeggio on the same key of the original, an arpeggio that filters up as it leads to the drop. 
The mix is good, I'm only hearing some reasonants on one of the hats, which might actually be easily fixed with some more surgical EQ-ing.

I appreciate the fact that he stripped down the original by adding his own melodic elements which give his remix a darker feeling. 

This is a good remix.
