Longtime Berghain resident, Figure Music founder and Berlin techno stalwart Len Faki is known both for his discerning, impeccable taste, so when we heard that he had agreed to remix French artist DNGLS for the enigmatic Anemone Music label, we were understandably enthused.

What Len ended up turning in, however, was much more than simply a remix, but, as the label calls it a “whole new realm of possibilities” – three different versions of DNGLS‘ “Hooly” – and we’ve got an exclusive listen below.

“When I heard the track first time, I instantly loved this special melody a lot,” Len tells us. “It was a pleasure to work on it, also because it is a little different than my other productions and a great experience to work in this direction. In the end, this is how the three different versions were formed, mirroring three different club moments. The first one is more like an energetic moment on the floor, while the ‘Tool’ is clubbier, more subtle, focused on the late night club moments. The ‘Beatless’ version is to listen to outside the club, or starting/ending the night.”

Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Token mainstay Inigo Kennedy had no fewer than three collaborative tracks on Momentum, the 3LP release put together to celebrate 10 years of the label’s output. As Token’s first ever releasing artist and now long recognised as an integral contributor to its distinctive sound, Kennedy continues to offer his part in shaping the label’s identity. 
 TOKEN79 feels conceptually complete as a record: The similarities between the tracks are almost as striking as their individual qualities. Each piece is titled in reference to planetary layers, each presenting another piece of the same world. 
 On the A-side is Magma, with a lead that’s refreshingly candid in its tenderness, soaked in reverb and sprawling with variations that gradually increase in complexity, carried by subharmonic pads it diffuses into the mix. Mantle is more percussion focused. Much of its movement is dictated by a pitch-bent woodiness that meanders in stereo while the composition rumbles on and opens up to a crescendo that’s powerful, yet measured in a way that’s characteristic of Kennedy’s control.
