«April Dreams», the debut album by Quintin Copper & Nas Mellow, was released in spring on Sonar Kollektiv. An album that is well received by friends of soul, jazz and hip hop.

Now the sound from the university town of Tübingen can begin its triumphal procession around the entire globe. Therefore Sonar Kollektiv won no other than the International Pony member and furious solo entertainer Erobique to contribute a remix of «Paradise».

Erobique managed to turn the album track into a world-class hit. «Paradise» is now a summer hit, warm-up classic and radio ear-worm at the same time.

He put so much soul into his version that some might think this version comes straight from a lost modern soul 45.

Following on from the success of 2011’s single ‘Valley of Paradise’, Psychemagik are back with ‘Magik Cyrkles’, a new compilation for Leng Records.

As well as prolific producers, Psychemagik are also vinyl collectors at heart, a passion that has led them to be the go to guys when other collectors are looking for that elusive piece of wax. Amongst their many happy customers are the now satisfied and influential names of Soulwax, Chemical Brothers, Lovefingers, Q-Tip, Fake Blood, Tom Middleton &amp; Lord Finesse

This love of digging deep for those obscure and long lost vinyl gems is the basis of their new Magik Cyrkles compilation. The fruit of many years digging, the compilation is a snap shot of music you might hear in a Psychemagik DJ set down in the sweaty basement clubs of the world and in the big tops of the festival circuit.

The album takes its inspiration from all corners of the globe, travelling through psychedelic funk, cosmic disco, Balearica, Middle Eastern beats and beyond… 

The album features artwork designed and illustrated by acclaimed oddball image-mongerer Luke Insect, and comes with four new and exclusive Psychemagik edits. 

All tracks have been taken from the original vinyl releases and mastered to retain the analogue feel of vinyl. Psychemagik have mixed one of the CDs, while the other disc features the tracks in their original form.

Psychemagik presents Magik Cyrkles Compilation (Promo Mix)

Psychemagik are known for their beautiful production work, vast record collections and transcendent mixtape journeys and they boast one of the most impressive and comprehensive remix outputs in contemporary electronic music for names including Roisin Murphy, Noel Gallagher, Haim, Bryan Ferry, Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, Paul Weller and Metronomy.  
 
‘I Feel How This Night Should Look’ is an album with a phenomenal backstory. It spans back over a decade back to when Tom Coveneyand Danny McLewin first met in 2008 and produced the ten tracks over an intensive two year period following the birth of Psychemagik.  It was recorded at a number of esteemed locations primed for sonic craft including Kate Bush’s old workspace, George Martin’s Air Studios Lyndhurst Hall, where the duo recorded a seventeen piece string section, and Toe Rag Studios recording drums onto tape.  
 
This album is a true labour of love.  The first taste comes via the effortlessly smooth and immediately deep ‘We Can Be One feat. Quinn Lamont Luke’.  An invigorating and ethereal cut offset with the acid rifts and the Balearic vocals by the New York artist.  ‘We Can Be One’beautifully lays down the foundations and entry point into the endlessly unique and diverse world of Psychemagik.
 
‘Something To Believe’ features English garage rock royalty Holly Golightly which spans a sound palette as diverse and invigorating as one of the pair’s vastly eclectic DJ sets.  The afro-harping ‘Seahorse’ is graced by the airy, wordless vocal styling of British jazz legend Norma Winstone.   ‘Triumph Of The Gods’ featuring Renate Staal Nygård  is an epic, piano and orchestra led tour de force, a funk fuelled soundtrack for a thriller yet to be made.  ‘Ghost Particle’ glides along at cruising altitude featuring Canterbury’s wilfully underrated Syd Arthur, whilst ‘Above The Clouds’ and ‘Cosmic Forest’ are exquisite string and synth-led cosmic disco.  ‘Le Paix Est Un Fleur’ deftly mixes psychedelic delights and easy listening.  
 
Finally set for release on Psychemagik Recordings in December, ‘​I Feel How This Night Should Look ​’ is testament to the duo’s deep understanding and love of their craft. It’s an album which hones a layered intelligence that only long-term dedication to the art and craft of the  DJ can deliver.
