Uns kam zu Ohren, Wien sei das „neue Leipzig“? Dieser waghalsigen These gilt es auf die Spur zu gehen – hören wir also mal ganz genau in Igelkarussell-Runde #89 mit MataHari und Volker Arnold hinein!
Die beiden Wiener sind Teil der Crews Journey to Tarab & Immer mit der Ruhe. Auf dem diesjährigen Tarmac Festival haben sie zusammen mit Düsentrieb ein legendäres Set zelebriert. Wer es noch nicht kennt - Reinhören lohnt sich.

Kurzweiliger als in ihrem 3-stündigen Mix für uns ließe sich eine Reise wohl kaum gestalten: Direkt zurück in den Sommer katapultiert, werden eure Sinne hier durch eine sorgsam abgestimmte, wohltemperierte und aufeinander aufbauende Track-Auswahl geführt. Vocals und Harmoniewechsel immer genau an der richtigen Stelle, schenken die Jungs uns einen wahrlich groovigen Einstieg in die Adventszeit.

Gerade noch rechtzeitig, um dem wiederkehrenden Wahnsinn um uns herum mit Positivität und Ausgelassenheit zu trotzen! Danke euch beiden für die wohlverdiente Auszeit 🙌

⫷ The Naked Tea Party ⫸ Each gig is different. It's not every time that you feel a strong connection with the audience to the point where you feel as ONE. But this night was one of those special times, and what a blast it was!

The energy was on fire and for that moment suspended in time, we were highly interconnected.

Thank you all so much for giving me so much that night, I was high on JOY! 
I loved how playful we were, dancing naked, feeling completely at ease and natural!
I also felt so aligned playing, as if I had found my place in life.
Being in one’s flow and in the present moment is one of the best feelings I believe we get to experience in life.

Thank you, Danielle for creating such a safe & powerful space and thanks to my dear @gabriel-soma for holding it after me!

Huge gratitude also to the whole community of @hedone-world, to the production team for creating a dream again and to Julie for booking me and taking over after a few years of service as music curator & artist coordinator.

Thanks to all the amazing producers of the tracks I play, without whom this set would not exist.

It's taken us a little while to fully process what happened on Sunday but now we've had the time to recover from the madness that is Fusion Festival (you too, we hope??) we're realising just how much this gig meant to us and how happy we are with how it all went. Thank you to everyone who was there, who waited the extra 40 minutes while we battled with some technical difficulties, who cheered, sang our lyrics (wait, what?!) and danced with us. You were so supportive and after the first couple of songs the nervousness was almost gone and we could just enjoy sharing what we love together with you all. THANK YOU! You peeps are just great. <3

So, without further ado, here's our live set on the Velvet Soup stage at Fusion on Sunday night. Unfortunately the quality of the recording isn't great (where's the bass?!?), and we actually had to re-record a couple of parts at home due to an issue with the accordion microphone picking up the sound coming from the speakers, but we tried our best to play it exactly like we did on the night and blend it in smoothly with the original recording.  We are proud and happy and we hope you like it!

despite battling a really intense illness through the Burn, my heart was warmed by the magic that flourished during those two hours.

Growing up inspired by the raw energy of underground parties, she was drawn to the unspoken connections that music creates from an early age on. From throwing her own parties with friends in her small hometown to spending countless nights on dancefloors, LENI has always been deeply connected to the pulse of the electronic scene. 

In 2019, LENI’s path led her to Leipzig, where she became an integral part of ost:end - a now emerging club project that is more than just a venue. Rooted in a shared vision of music and culture, it brings together artists, cultural workers and DJs who are shaping new spaces for creative exchange in all types of forms.
