With David Morales returning to play for FAC51 The Haçienda for the first time in seven years, headlining The Warehouse Project on Boxing Day, David has kindly supplied an exclusive one hour mix of classic Haçienda tunes, which he considers his salute to the music and spirit of the original Haçienda.

The stylish set puts together many of The Hac's and David's finest records from the late Eighties and early Nineties period, mixing disco, Italian house, and soulful garage styles in a seamlessly mixed testament to the strength and depth of music then.

Kicking off with the elegant strings of a laid back take on FPI Project's "Rich In Paradise", the original extended 12 inch version of Frankie Knuckles and Robert Owen's "Tears" follows before some nimble production tricks bring in the classic stabs and orders to groove of Inner City's "Big Fun". 

A light tempo runs throughout the set, with most tracks played in full with extended mixes as Black Box's "Ride On Time" and its Lolleatta Holloway vocal takes charge in all its glory before David's own seminal classic, the original Def Mix version of Robert Owen's "I'll Be Your Friend" is unleashed with its ever contemporary atmosphere of lustful, deep, tribal US clubs.

X-Press 2's "Muzik Xpress", the original 12 inch version of Alison Limerick's "Where Love Lives" and the stepped back soul of Benny Benassi's version of Black Box's "Everybody Everybody" all appear in the second half hour of the set while the delicate pianos of Soft House Company's "What You Need" brings the mix to the close in what proves a round up of many of the biggest track that shaped dance music some two decades ago during The Hacienda's original heyday.

Fluxo proudly presents Le Souffle, the latest EP from Brazilian producer and DJ Fuscarini, an
immersive work that offers more than just music: it invites the listener into a sensorial experience
shaped by silence, breath, and emotion.
The title, which means “The Breath” in French, captures the essence of the lead track, a deeply
introspective and cinematic composition where fragmented vocals drift through melodic layers and
subtle atmospheres. Le Souffle is about breathing, about pause, intensity, and surrender, where sound
becomes feeling.
To expand this sonic journey, three of South America's most respected electronic music artists were
invited to reinterpret the track through their own creative lenses:
Kevin Di Serna & Santor (Argentina) deliver a heartfelt remix filled with vital energy. Ethereal piano
lines and organic grooves come together to form a spacious, emotionally rich piece, crafted for moments
of pure connection on the dancefloor.
ZAC (Brazil), a key figure in Brazil’s progressive house movement, brings his immersive touch to the
track with soaring arpeggios and elegant drive. His remix elevates the original into a powerful, euphoric
moment made for peak-time sets.
Wilian Kraupp offers a dense and meditative rework, rich in atmospheric textures and hypnotic

progression. His version unfolds like a deep inner dive, introspective and enveloping, designed for long-
form sets and immersive dancefloors.

Le Souffle is a collective project born from the shared language of artists who believe in music as breath
and transformation. A contemplative invitation in motion.

Mirco Caruso has been making music for over five years now but he has only a handful of records to his name having made the conscious decision to aim for quality over quantity. His breakout moment came in 2014 with the release of ‘Siren’, an EP that went on to receive plays from Dennis Ferrer, DJ Dosem and DJ Sharam. Caruso has since gone to put out records on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech, Haus22 and Go Deeva Records.

Caruso's Fresh Kicks mix features a number of his own productions alongside tracks by Todd Terry, Simone Vitullo and Vidaloca.

Allister Whitehead's Return To Shine

With Allister coming back to The Hacienda for the Christmas party at Sankeys on 27/12/16 which sees some eight of the clubs original residents reunited, here with a very special mix which puts together the set he performed back in November 1991 on the first night of his Shine residency,

Following The Hacienda's re-opening in 1990, Shine was the Friday night replacement to the long running Nude and saw Mike Pickering and Russ take charge of the night alongside special guests who included the likes of Todd Terry, K Klass, Sasha and more. 

About the opportunity,  Allister comments;

"I was asked by Mike Pickering in 1991 to cover for him at ’Shine’  on Friday’s  while he was touring and recording with M-People. Not many DJ’s got the chance to play the Hacienda, it was like being asked to play for England!   Obviously, things went well for Mike and I became resident from 1992 - 93 on Friday’s at Shine and I did Tuesday’s as well for a while.  We had some great guests (Todd Terry, Kevin Sanderson etc...) and some special nights, including a few of the infamous foam parties, which were amazing and pretty close to the incredible Nude nights back in 88/89. To play the Hacienda at full pelt was a rare thing for a DJ apart from Graeme and Mike and has provided memories I will treasure all my life. Thanks must go to Mike Pickering, Graeme Park, Peter Hook and Ang Matthews."

Dusting down and digitising the same set from that night, Allister pulls together a number of the tunes that characterised The Hacienda in late 1991 including US club hit Brother Makes 3 to open. Union City Recording's hit Mombassa "Cry Freedom" follows up whilst the mix also includes carat gold classics, Denise Lopez's "Dont You Wanna Be Mine", Rusty "Everything's Gonna Change" and the Sasha remix of Jimi Polo's "Better Days".
