"Raised in Southern Ontario somewhere between Detroit and Montreal, Eddie C began his experiments in music some time in the late 80s. Inspired first by Hip Hop and the burgeoning Acid House scene, he began making tape edits of late night radio and shortly thereafter began visiting record shops and warehouse parties to discover the music first hand.  Record digging, DJing and production has since been a way of life for the man, followed closely by an opposing passion for skiing which lead him to his 10 year sabbatical in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. With plenty of time over the past decade for reflection and research in his log cabin studio, C has recently re-located and reconnected with the electronic music community in Berlin. TFGC011 - Young Wolf - Kabuki - Spiritual Version

Kıran is the debut release of Rotterdam based DJ and producer Ruben Üvez aka Konduku. Coming from Turkish descent, Konduku’s sound is both deep and trippy. Though in a different way you might expect from a Nous’klaer release - the contagious grooves of Konduku are reached through a polyrhythmic approach. The tracks have a serious elegance, but the fun that went in making them is undeniable.
When I proposed a tracklist for the album, I had no idea Altın and Mavi Saat quite literally meant start and finish (Golden and Blue Hour). The two tracks form the framework of the trip, easing in and out of it with a 4x4 groove. The first one the energising and the latter the cooling down.
In between the opening and closing act Kıran is less straightforward. The polyrhythmic hybrid of Eastern Europe Minimal and UK Bass is a thread throughout. Güneş and Yeşil Ağaç are two of those twisted rhythm tracks. His knack for composing contrasting patterns is something he got from his father, who was a professional Jazz musician from Ankara.
Almost halfway Kızılırmak (Red River) takes the energy level up a notch, claps over claps building up to an intense but unexpected climax crafted by a snappy snaredrum. Kızı fits right in a trippy minimal set, whereas Yağmur probably leans most towards the bass driven UK sound Konduku loves.
The light drums and floating pads on Pembe Alan serve as the cooling down before the Blue Hour kicks in. The name Pembe Alan (Pink Area), and the album in it’s entirety, is a tribute to the area called Cappadocia where Ruben’s family originally comes from.
I hope you’ll enjoy this diverse album as much as we all do. We’ll be releasing more from this young talent in the near future.

After their highly acclaimed debut album “Im Klanggarten” (on Bigamo – label of Frank Wiedemann / Âme), this is Fred und Luna’s next fascinating step in their “Elektrokraut/Krautelektro” series.

Who are Fred und Luna?
"Fred und Luna" are two mannequins living in a fashion boutique in Karlsruhe, Germany. They serve as muse for musician, lector, poet and photo/video maker Rainer Buchmüller.
Inspired by his doll friends and his love for German electronic music of the past decades, Rainer Buchmüller under the alias “Fred und Luna” produces his self-created genres Elektrokraut and Krautelektro: both a modern combination of repetitive rhythms, beautiful melodies, electronic soundscapes and elements from the Krautrock era.
Under the name of “Ariston Baton” Rainer Buchmüller also writes and performs sound poems and concrete poetry. On live events and especially on exhibitions Ariston Baton is joining “Fred und Luna” and Rainer Buchmüller’s third identity “Vizudaru Nono”, who is contributing video and photo projections. Together they form the so called “Equipe Nadaphysique”. The next exhibition featuring all three named personalities will take place end of October 2018 at Rockomotives Festival, Vendôme/France.

A brief history of Fred und Luna
Having previously released the EP “Glück auf” on the Scottish label Optimo Music and being remixed by Prins Thomas for the Berlin label Innervisions, the year 2017 saw Fred und Luna feature their debut album “Im Klanggarten” on Frank Wiedemann’s (Âme, Howling) newly-founded label Bigamo Musik.

After the first editions of both the EP and LP being sold out quickly, live shows in Germany, France and England followed as well as remixes for Peter Pardeike (Connaisseur Recordings) and a common release with Trikk on Innervisions, among others.
A team-up with Achim Treu (UFO Hawaii) resulted in several remixes for international musicians.
