Blind as a bat in this mammoth, sunken maze
Tripped upon a vine, fell into a distant haze
I awoke to one eye staring back at me
Saddest thing of all it was my own that I did percieve

Found the culprit then - a brittle, little, infant tree
Here dark limbo not much taller than my knee
Vines so thick, dense, and hidden oh so well
Thought to tear it out but it's my only friend in hell

Found a shallow pool and tended to my bloody wounds
Thought of the plant and the thirst inside this gloom
Hands cupped in prayer I knew what I had to do
Craddle meager drops with my blood and sweat as the dew

Not a moment then, the plant began to grow and glow
A hard shade of green began to pulse and ebb and flow
A light limbo - pouring forth it's haunting hew
A stairway revealed sprang to life hope renewed

I found a righteous heir to a puny throne on a hill too dead for dream
Well the stage was swept of compliments and doused in teenage kerosene
Well she took my hand, like no one can, and let me down the dreary dusk

Well she led the way, and brought the day, burning like a vigil in the night
But she sat and stared between the arch where the meadow met the marsh
So impolite, and out of fright, told me that I'd have to go alone

When I ask her then what kept her back she accused me of attack
But in a rage she torched the stage, snuffing out a dumb charade
Well her eyes grew bright, and clutching, held the words that broke her throne

Fire Flower

Lennox Campbell-Berzins is a songwriter, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has performed and recorded in a variety of genres  on various instruments over the years (Guitar, Piano, Drums, Bass, Mandolin and Vox), and is the front man of local projects Ruby Cikada and Broken Wolves.
Lennox C.B. is the project title for his solo album work, beginning with his new debut release, "Night Light", a dream/psych pop album. As of 2019, he will begin work on a second release that has yet to be titled and arranged.
