A new documentary mini-album explores the fusion of traditional Black Sea coast music and contemporary street culture. 
‘The Malfoof Collective’ features an impressive array of authentic traditional
instruments and modern techniques to create a fresh breed of world music. 
The album contains 4 songs in different Kavkaz's dialects and languages, creating a new breed of world music, authentic and non-academic or Jazz-oriented, re-connecting to the origins of street music
and art. 

The album was recorded and performed live with an impressive array of authentic traditional, enhanced with  contemporary instruments like Samplers, Drum machines and Synthesizers.
Bringing functional-music of the common-man, with the instruments, scales, melodies, urban singing styles, colors and rhythms, that managed to "survive" the billboard and charts of the last century. Music that found shelter in weddings, family traditions, homes, and the streets of the neighborhoods.

The Project  ​​is a collaboration between Jaffa based multiinstrumentalist and  composer-producer LennyTunes who among others, worked with the likes of Simge, Riff Cohen and Avishai Cohen and Shalom Mor - a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and renowned touring musician.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The Huli are believed to have laid down roots in Papua New Guinea as far back as 45,000 years ago. Most of the Huli people are from the town of Tari, and many still live according to the traditional ways. “The Huli men are famous for their unique custom of creating and wearing impressive wigs decorated with feathers. They also wear bright facial paint in red, yellow and white — colors originally chosen to strike fear into their enemy in times of conflict. Nowadays, they usually wear them to sing and dance.”. The so-called Wigmen make their wigs out of their own hair and weave them with feathers from the island’s 700 bird species. Each feather carries its own symbolic meaning (such as strength and courage). “The forest in which we live is essential to us. It provides for all our needs, it is sacred, and I would do anything in my power to protect it,” writes Mundiya Kepanga, a 53-year-old Huli Wigman, “I hope that by helping people to better understand my culture, they will also respect our environment.”                                                                                                                    This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “A Wigmen Town Called Tari”. Camel Riders are thrilled to have back T-Puse and LennyTunes, with their brand new release, titled 'Shukran City' EP. 

This fabulous release displays a fascinating mixture of Middle Eastern and North African organic melodies and sounds, with sophisticated, elegant, and uplifting electronic beats, accompanied by a pinch of acidic sounds. 

The opening track is 'Jamila', which is followed by the EP theme track 'Shukran City', while 'Abu Ali' concludes the three originals by T-Puse and LennyTunes', which are followed by three brilliant and diverse remixes. 

1st we have the pleasure to share the remix for 'Jamila' by Turkish producer, Ali Kuru on his debut on Camel Riders, following up next we are welcoming to Camel Riders the French producer 'Mula' with his remix for 'Shukran City'. Last but not least, we're happy to have back the Tel Aviv-based duo, Angata with their interpretation of 'Abu Ali'.

Lenny Ben Basat is one of Israel’s most prominent musicians, composers and record producers and the owner of the LennyTunes production house, located in the old city of Jaffa, Israel.
Throughout his extremely successful international career, Lenny has developed his unique musical blend, from the traditional Maqam of Arab music and beats of Africa to the urban sounds and techniques of drum machines, analog synths and vinyl beat chopping. 
In 2019,  driven by his passion to infuse Middle Eastern rhythms, melodies and instruments with contemporary techniques, Lenny released the "The Bellydance Superstars" album, featuring the soulful music and oriental vibes of the 60s and 70s clubs of his hometown Jaffa. The LP album was created with the original instruments of the period, played through a time vortex from the future. The album is a love letter to his city. 
For the last 20 years, Lenny has created well known long play records & EPs, live shows and film scores. Among his latest works, Lenny composed and produced together with Riff Cohen the track “MIŞ MIŞ” which gained more than 181 million views on Youtube and Riff’s best seller “J'AIME”  and ”A PARIS”. Lenny produced the album “Sensitive Hours” for Avishai Cohen and together they worked on the score for the French film “LE SENS DE LA FÊTE”’  for the blockbuster directors Olivier Nakash and Eric Toledano.
