Part of the Lenske family since its inception, DJ/Producer Milo Spykers returns to Lenske Records for his fourth EP on the Belgian label. Packed with four explosive tracks, the EP marks another stand-out release for Spykers following his “Accelerator” EP last summer.

Kicking off with authority is the thunderous opening track “Stainless Steel”, armed with a marching kick drum and whompy bass. The track breaks down midway to give way to a weighted synth melody and flared hi hats that conjoin with a triad of melodic themes, creating an intoxicating blend of rhythm and sound. Next up and packed with explosive pairings is “Blood Hound”. Taunting synths and a punching kick create a propulsive rhythm. More chaotic than its predecessor, an array of drums are used to raise the intensity. Sinister synth notes blend seamlessly with the dramatic percussion that feels custom built for dark, thumping techno basements.

On the flip is title track “Belgian Bass”, a high voltage stomper with a powerful kick, jackin’ rhythm and metallic textures. Siren like synths sound out amongst powerful snares and cymbals. Creating an almost cinematic feeling, the track is brilliantly hectic, broken up by a solitary clap before the chaos resumes. Lastly is “Cjax”, a raucous roller that feels like a perfect peak time energy spike, ending the record on a triumphant high note. Gurgling vocal samples stir beneath a driving kick drum and syncopated hi hats, while stabbing chords cut across the soundscape, intertwined with elongated droning synth notes that echo in the distance.

Based in Berlin by way of her hometown Mexico, Lokier has firmly cemented her spot within the European underground scene with appearances at Berghain and Tresor, as well as renowned international venues and festivals Reaktor, Contact, Dimensions, CTM, Nuits Sonores & more. “Back To Life EP” marks Lokier’s debut on Lenske, showcasing her ability to fuse the worlds of industrial, rave, techno and trance with an electrifying 3 tracker.

Opening the record is “Back To Life”, a minimal techno highlight with deep, foreboding pads and wavering synths. Understated hi-hats and a determined kick drum match with galloping elements, making this opener a solid peak-time pursuit. Dynamic and energetic without being overstated, Lokier produces a seamless track that starts as a meek series of chords and ends in a ferocious triumph.

Far heavier and darker than the opener is “Dimension”. This raucous cut bridges the gap between techno and electro, with acid dripped notes and keys that twinkle and echo menacingly. A heaving kick drum and baseline are determined to bring an ominous energy to the forefront while maintaining the fierceness of the initial elements. Without any respite, the track determinedly drives on and commands you to move right up until the final kick.

“Call Me” is the final journey on this record, utilising razor sharp synths and ridged hi-hats. A techno charger from the jump, it's the perfect mid set dynamo, bursting with energy and raw, unbridled power. A pummeling kick drum sets the pace with a moody baseline and crashing cymbals bringing a more rounded texture. Ethereal synth notes duet the deep, grungy synths that expertly balances the mood while alarm bells ring overhead.

Techno trailblazer @AMELIELENS presents her new EP ‘In My Mind’ on her own @lenskerecords imprint, containing three explosive techno tracks.

The release marks a considerable high point of Lens’ career, hot on the heels of the launch of her radio show and dropping just before her debut Ibiza residency with sister label EXHALE. ‘In My Mind’ will mark Amelie’s first solo release on the label since 2020 and follows her collaboration with Airod on ‘Raver’s Heart’ EP late last year. The EP also was inspired by electrifying visuals that Amelie takes on the road and showcases at selected gigs.


Title-track ‘In My Mind’ opens proceedings with blasts, bangs and heavy reverbs whilst Amelie’s voice swirls above. The build-up gives way to furious claps, and spiking synths that continue to dance around the vocal sample in a ruthless march. The beat is unrelenting with a venomous, pulsing bassline that creates this raw and atmospheric techno cut, while bubbling keys maintain vitality and lightness with their careful arrangement.

Even though Belgian born Ahl Iver only witnessed the 90’s as a young kid, his music is reminiscent of the creative enthusiasm that is synonymous with that period. From an early age he started producing, encouraged by his perpetual love of music. While still in college he worked on honing his craft until one day Amelie Lens put out a call for demo’s. Ahl Iver took this as his cue to send out his music for the first time. Out of thousands of submissions Lens immediately heard something that stood out; it was a mixture
of higher BPM’s, tough sound design with a melodic edge and carefully programmed rhythms. One thing led to another and he signed his first vinyl EP on Lenske Records. His thunderous kick drums, fast acidic sequences and rave stabs were soon after heard across the world’s most influential dancefloors. A second contributed on to the label’s first VA would follow quickly while he also provided an original track to the Fabric Presents mix series and two Exhale VA’s curated by Lens. As a consequence of the excitement that he received for his productions by the public, bookers also picked up on him and he was able to make his international debut as a DJ. With recent bookings Santiago Chile, Brunch In The Park, DC-10 Ibiza, Galactica fesrival etc he demonstrated that not only his productions will have a dancefloor enthralled but his DJ sets as well. Ahl Iver only scratched the surface of his potential so far so keep your eyes and ears open for what undeniably will be a bright future for this young man.

A certified dancefloor pleaser both in and out of the studio, AIROD’s distinct sound has kept him at the forefront of cutting-edge underground techno as it continues to evolve rapidly. Circling back for another release on Lenske, his latest work is another bold statement of intent, staking his claim as one of the genre’s most exciting talents. Released first, on the 4th August is standalone single ‘Meet Me In The Club’, it teases with a wave of high-octane club-focused goodness. Building around a catchy vocal hook - the track
comes in hot with racy grooves and riveting musicality. A core of thumping drums, fizzing hat sequences and erratic melodies flood the mix, twisted and pulled around with clever modulation and use of FX to carve out an energetic dancefloor journey with hints of euphoric nostalgia throughout.

The title cut ‘Golden Pills’ emulates a progressively intensifying sprint. Ethereal melodies and unwavering drums create an ever-increasing sense of urgency, dissected by ominous vox chops, atmospheric breaks, and a sea of instrumental flare from start to finish. ‘I Just Wanna Rave’ has ‘warehouse track’ written all over it. Furious drum work and minimal accompanying percussion set the base of the track, paving the way for an onslaught of shuddering synth layers and electrifying bass tones that keep you stomping until the last beat. ‘At All Costs’ cuts a sinister line from the outset. Its striking selection of infernal musical layers make the perfect match for a potent beat structure and catchy vocals, leading into a continuum of peaks and troughs, steered by crescendoing snare rolls and huge throwdowns with gripping melodic progressions either side.

LENSKE’s first release by Farrago, “Risin”, comes packing high velocity punches, including a collaboration with Amelie Lens and a remix from Kobosil. The EP’s A side is packed near 12 minutes of crisp machine driven techno with Farrago’s rattling peak-time “The Riddler” being the first to puncture. The title track, “Risin”, will only be released as the Kobosil remix, a titanium tour of auditory horrors, which also borrows from the EP’s other tracks. Lens’ signature sultry vocal samples on the B side’s “Jealousy” draw the contours of a jaw grinding banger, while “Hidden Power” rounds out the release with a blaring dance floor siren encased in exquisitely unpredictable arrangement. In May 2018, Belgium’s Amelie Lens launched LENSKE, the fruit of working on new music and collaborating with her peers. The aim was to create a platform to release her own and friend’s music that they use to tear apart dance floors around the globe. The imprint’s catalogue illustrates their exploration for a shade of techno particularly focused on the hi-NRG factor. You can usually catch them at the Exhale showcases worldwide – at the likes of fabric London, Off Sonar in Barcelona and Dour in Belgium- testing their new productions that the crowd highly anticipate for their release.

For this fresh record, each artist contributes a track for a mini VA compilation showcasing the label’s sound. Belgian producer Milo Spykers opens up with ‘Traversing’, a heavy-hitting cut with a ravenous sound design. Hot on the heels of her recent compilation for the fabric presents series, Amelie Lens steps up with her brand new tune ‘The Future’ featuring energetic synth hooks with her signature vocals. AIROD goes ravey with ‘Divine Power’ introducing jungle elements, while on the other side, Farrago delivers a catchy vocal-led slammer with ‘Step Up’. On the other side, Flavours Of Youth unleashes a melodic cut with an immersive bass. The EP concludes with the electrifying sound of Vizio.
