Soulfooled strikes back with a nice summer 4-tracker. This time our crew is backed up by Greek electronic music activist Echonomist, Dubai’s top producer Raxon and last but not least, we're happy to finally have a girl becoming part of the Soulfooled family - Berlin-based Vonda7.

The EP kicks off with 'Muse' which is another collaboration between Echonomist and the talented Mz Sunday Luv who already showcased her exquisite voice on the Greek producer's 'Real Love' EP on Steve Bug's Dessous Recordings label. A sound that lends itself to vintage-styled classic house jam, fused with techy modern production – utterly captivating.

Raxon, our man from the Mid East chips in his powerful 'Flex'. Pacy, energetic jam with a smashing Acid bassline – Fierce! Famous for his deep and touching House tunes, the Dubai-based DJ and producer has had an amazing year so far, gaining worldwide recognition for his productions on labels like Audio Tonic, Akbal Music & Sasse's Moodmusic – We are ecstatic and welcome this talented artist to Soulfooled.

The lady in the team leads us to a darker atmosphere. Delivering 'What Is Your Sound' with its slow bumping, punching bassline accompanied by dark, mysterious vocal mumblings, you immediately realize that this is some serious stuff! Take this as a little taster we are certain we will be hearing a lot of her in the future!

To round off the release, there's the '707 Edit' of Echonomist's 'Muse' as a Beatport exclusive. A sensational and lingering style, full of sultry summertime synthetic goodness. Captivating and dreamlike is how we love it!

[Suara 102] Technasia - I Am Somebody (Original Mix) Snippet

Vancouver based Stefan Zlatarits is better known as Stefan Z, a producer who has worked with labels
like Resopal Shallware and Circle Music, but who also runs his own label, Rhombus. His first EP for
the My Favorite label features four fantastic tracks that explore deep and sci-fi leaning house and tech
with plenty of cinematic values.
Opener ‘Love Tonight’ is a go-slow deep house cut laden down with emotion. It’s a sparse
arrangement but paints a very vivid picture with its molten bass, Vangelis like synth patterns and
churning kick drums, and is the sort of thing that sucks you in and traps your right in its vast and
cavernous core.
Next up, ‘Planks’ is punchier but is just as deep. Synthesized sounds marble the airwaves and a
serious dub undercurrent flows beneath the whole airy concoction. Some poignant and heartfelt pads
help make this is devastating cut indeed.
‘No Words’ again marries dub warmth and propulsion to future facing synth patterns that recall the
visions of early techno and electro whilst. Stefan Z clearly knows his way around his machines and
manages to coax plenty of human feeling out of them, before going in tough on final track ‘Black
Jacket Future.’ This one is wrought with tension via the percolating, predatory bass notes. It explodes
into life with all sorts of cosmic rays, alien sounds and celestial melodies and closes out a seriously
heady and well-sequenced EP.
This is an assured and complete artistic statement from Stefan Z, and is one that immediately makes
him a fitting member of the ever-impressive My Favorite Robot label.
