One of India’s most intriguing progressive house artists, with productions that stretch much further than the traditional scope of progressive house" - Progressive Astronaut Weird Sounding Dude is a Bangalore based music producer/DJ. He has always enjoyed a place in the underground dance music culture. His trademark chuggy grooves and squelchy rhythms are sure to satisfy his audience but there are always a few surprises along the way.

As it happens with a lot of artists, only DJ’ing wasn’t enough for his musical expedition, so he embarked on a journey to prove his worth as a self-taught producer. Drawing his influences by the likes of James Holden, Extrawelt, Hernan Cattaneo and Worakls. Being a regular on the charts of Beatport, his music has gained continuous support by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Cid Inc., Praveen Achary and Soulfire. 

He has already made a mark in the underground circuit with releases on Traum Schallplatten, Juicebox Music, Stripped Recordings, System Recordings, Bullfinch. Well-known blogs Change Underground, Underground Tel-Aviv, When We Dip, Nie Wieder Schlafen have shown regular interest in his tracks. He has also made a mark on the DJ circuit by performing at music festivals like Sunburn, R.E.S.E.T., Ctrl Alt Dance and Krank. 

He’s had the privilege to perform alongside the likes of Jimpster (UK), Vaal (Berlin), Dauwd (UK), Nucleya, Fuzzy Logic, Vinayaka^a, Ash Roy and No Latency. He was also nominated under the Techno category for MyFav Awards (2014-15). He regularly curates a monthly podcast called Furtherance, new episodes of the podcast will be available for streaming every fourth Sunday of the month. It’s safe to say that this “Dude” in particular isn’t just another kid on the block. His voyage has slowly started to take shape with no intentions of slowing down.

Weird Sounding Dude is definitely one of our favorite producers from India. Hailing from Bangalore, Abhijith Hegde is a self-taught producer who has been garnering quite the support in the dance music circuit with his amazing compositions. 

His trademark productions have already made their way to labels like Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Souksonic, Hoomidaas, Kindisch, Juicebox Music, Balkan Connection among many others.

He has already made a mark in the underground circuit with releases on Traum Schallplatten, Juicebox Music, Stripped Recordings, System Recordings, Bullfinch. Well-known blogs Change Underground, Underground Tel-Aviv, When We Dip, Nie Wieder Schlafen have shown regular interest in his tracks. He has also made a mark on the DJ circuit by performing at music festivals like Sunburn, R.E.S.E.T., Ctrl Alt Dance and Krank.

He’s had the privilege to perform alongside the likes of Jimpster (UK), Vaal (Berlin), Dauwd (UK), Nucleya, Fuzzy Logic, Vinayaka^a, Ash Roy and No Latency. He was also nominated under the Techno category for MyFav Awards (2014-15). He regularly curates a monthly podcast called Furtherance, new episodes of the podcast will be available for streaming every fourth Sunday of the month.

It’s safe to say that this “Dude” in particular isn’t just another kid on the block. His voyage has slowly started to take shape with no intentions of slowing down.

Encyclopedia does everything possible to ensure that ARAWAK has incredible visuals and great promotion broadcast on all streaming platforms such as Spotify, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Youtube.

Encyclopedia as a broadcaster has put together other playlists like Voyager, Mesopotamia, Destination and Monophony that you can discover on streaming platforms.
