Yep, it’s become exceptionally clear that the holiday period is are over but that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. No; there's plenty that we can draw from the elements running wild at this time of year. Train yourself to think more in a more positive light, just as Hybrid Recordings boss Cari Lekebusch has done in his latest mix for us. Referencing his homeland's own frozen environment he's put together a selection that injects a tangible yet mystic energy into the fold. It’s also the perfect indicator of what we can expect from his next visit to Farringdon later this month when he joins Terry Francis and Peter Van Hoesen in Room Two.

In our third Servis Mix series we present to you multitalented artist Calemma ⚡ that has dedicated his lifelong research to photography, media and music. 
All the influences he came across through the years skilfully converge within his sound, creating each time an unique musical experience. 
Giovanni has been the co-founder of United Tribes(Italy) Between 1992 and 1994, United Tribes marked an evolutionary step in the European music scene and defined new aesthetics in visual communication. 
Since then Calemma has been working professionally as a visual artist, dj and promoter of events across London, Berlin and Italy.  
He is currently promoting Diskonnekt music events in London with Dj and promoter Nuno Deconto.

No need to much words for this 2 ,but i will say something about 1 of them guess who ;)

Jeff Mills, along with Robert Hood, Carl Craig, and Joey Beltram, is one of the biggest American names in techno. Championed for his music's relentless pursuit of hardness and his stripped-down, almost industrial DJ sets, Mills is the latest in a long line of Detroit-bred talent to take on an international reputation. A founding member of noted Motor City institution Underground Resistance, Mills helped build the artist roster and label ideology (as well as much of its back catalog) with partners "Mad" Mike Banks and Robert "Noise" Hood before moving to New York in 1992 to pursue more vigorously his solo and DJ career (with a resident spot at the legendary Limelight and a recording contract with the noted German label Tresor). (Although rumors of bad blood between the early UR crew have been denied by all involved, Mills' decision to split was apparently total, with Banks all but repudiating his involvement with Mills and Mills distancing himself from the continuing political militancy of Banks and the UR organization.) 
Mills' UR-related releases (including "The Punisher" and "Seawolf") are stripped-down and erratic, fusing elements of hardcore acid and industrial techno to the sparse Detroit aesthetic. Not surprisingly, his post-UR sound hasn't eased a bit, although UR's penchant for the four-track has been replaced by higher-quality production.

Prior to his involvement in UR, Mills was a DJ at Detroit public radio station WDET (he was also studying architecture at the time), spinning everything from Meat Beat Manifesto and Nine Inch Nails to Chicago house and underground Detroit techno. He began producing in the mid-'80s, working with Tony Srock on the project the Final Cut.

The recording alone will melt your face off.

Comments from Neil- "Surgeon just mailed me this tape recording of a live set i did at the House of God in Birmingham in 1995… If memory serves me correct that was the first time I performed there. Anyways its live on hardware (as was the only choice then) rather nasty but still fun..Tr-909, S950,Tb-303, Sh-101, Sequential Circuits Pro-One, Tr-606,, Atari ST and some other crap….The Peacefrog and Sativae acid years…."

Having "grown up" amongst Legendary San Diego DJs like Jon E Thin, Paolo, Mark E Quark, G.Maxim, Alien Tom, Jef Scott and Steve Pagan, B-Side, Merlyn... Visited by some of Los Angeles' and San Francisco's best underground DJs like DJ Dan, Christopher Lawrence, Xavier, Thee-O, Ron D Core, Garth, Thomas, and many others...it didn't take long for a tenderfoot raver to find enough of his own vinyl to become DrMindbender... 
Thanks to Equinox Records, Elevator Records, and United Records, DrMindbender percolated in the deepest House, Techno, and Trance the scene could offer... 
Teaming up with DJ Device, Energy Quotient was born and after a run of underground gatherings from '98 to '99 from the SD metro area to the Borrego desert with DJs including Christoper Lawrence, Brownie, Brad and Ben Annand, DrMindbender turned to producing tracks... 
In 2004 David Gates moved to the San Francisco bay area to re-invent his music, expand the horizon of opportunities, and most importantly, start his family with beloved wife Adrienne. Together, David and Adrienne created Golden Gate Sound and began building a platform to bring light and joy to people everywhere...
