Leon Du Star liveset performed at Night Sirens (KUPLUNG) in Budapest in 2014. All the sounds come straight from the Korg Electribe ESX Sampler. Leon Du Star challenged his funk abilities. Similar to classic winemaking, Leon du Star limited himself by doing a liveset the classic way using a stepsequencer/sampler from the nineties: every kick, snare, beat, synth or hit have been made purely using the electribe without the use of a laptop (except the parov stelar + STR + plastic heaven gimmicks). The liveset and beats were made in 1 week, hence the rawness and glitches of the liveset). Oh and ofcoarse there are not tracktitles, because the tracks just 'playfully happened' in the moment, just like with all good things in live. May the funk be with all of you.

Leon's mission has always been to spread the FUNK around the world..and to show people how easy it is to enjoy and make FUNK. He cannot be stopped..not 2012, not dirty underpants, nothing. Even James Brown was not able to stop him when he played in the JB's back in the days! Ok thats not true, but you understand my point right?

Leon's love for producing &amp; releasing electronic music is infinite.
The 'Close to you'-release even reached the topseller chart on <a href="http://www.dancerecords.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.dancerecords.com</a>, and was being touted by many as a great 'Daft Punk Anthem'.
But releasing music is just a manifestation which derives from his studio practices.
In the studio he becomes one with his guitar, synthesizers,percussion instruments and converts it into one compact sound.
He knows there is no difference between using a djembe or using subliminal musicsoftware / equipment.
His productions are his kungfu, and he has worked with a lot of masters.
