Moog Matriarch

This is just a spontaneous improvisation with my new Moog Matriarch. I tried to use at least some of the features like the different voice modes, oscillator sync etc. (no patching though). I also threw together a simple sequence to demonstrate the use of the Ratchet, Tie and Rest buttons as live performance tools for on-the-fly sequence manipulation - something that I don't remember seeing in any of the Matriarch videos I have watched.

There's a little bit of reverb added, the rest is purely the Matriarch.

Moog Matriarch Improvisation

Merry Christmas!

This is a SINGLE TAKE of "O Come O Come Emmanuel" on the Moog Matriarch synthesizer. 4-voice paraphonic mode [but I'm only actually using 3 out of the 4 oscillators], MIDI programmed, and recorded directly into Ableton Live. There is absolutely NO effects or post processing here; I simply recorded and exported the piece.

There's a slight amount of clipping toward the end of the song. I thought I was being careful when I set my line levels.

Recuerdos De La Alhambra (Moog Matriarch, JX-03)

A fun little session on a fine Sunday.  Just wanted to try a little of what Wendy Carlos once did on a much larger scale.  I'm dedicating this to the mourning of all Orthodox Christians from Friday as Turkey officially turned the sacred and blessed Hagia Sophia into a mosque once again.

I used the Moog Grandmother for the four choral voices, and the rest of the parts were done on the Matriarch.  

I might do some more of these and put more effort into having more hardware sampled at once for another Bach piece.
