Originally released in April of 2021, Liquidation Sale is the debut album of Patrick Parry's current music project, The Worried Chest. The album was recorded in stereo, but Patrick was a mono enthusiast at the time and squashed the eight stereo tracks into mono. The compromise of this choice has since been acknowledged and the tracks have been restored with a new 2025 stereo mix by Patrick. Additionally, the first release of Liquidation Sale used questionable AI-assisted mastering. The album has now received the proper treatment by audio engineer Greg Mindorff at Suite Sound Labs.

"RUN AWAY (but it’s different)” is a quiet, aching love letter to second chances and soft escapes. In this intimate reimagining of his breakout single, DEAR DAO strips the song down to its rawest form—blending hazy textures, cinematic minimalism, and late-night vulnerability into an ethereal indie-pop experience.

Each version feels like a different chapter of the same dream: slowed and reverb-soaked like you're driving through memories at 2 a.m., or delicately acoustic like a whisper from a distant part of yourself. Layered with nostalgic sadness and flickers of hope, this project captures what it means to long for freedom, connection, and a place that feels like home—even if it’s just in someone else’s arms.
