Leonardo Gonnelli returns on Deeperfect with another dynamic and innovative release. He is renowned for his exceptional performances at popular events including ADE, Dockyard Festival and Terminal 4. This Florentine-raised artist has taken the music industry by storm since starting out in 2001 and has gained ongoing support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Marco Carola and Stefano Noferini. He has previous releases on some of the world’s most iconic labels including Steve Lawler’s VIVA Music, Simon Dunmore’s Defected Records, Gruuv and Play It Say It, leading him to another incredible release on Deeperfect. ‘Everybody Get Up’ is another fantastic cut, built upon a heavy bassline and cracking snares and produced smoothly with bouncing build-ups of tech tinged claps and drops. The track is complimented perfectly with captivating hooks and vocals, making this another hard hitting dancefloor weapon from the impressive and legendary Italian artist. Joseph Edmund is an underground House and Techno Dj / Producer from the musical City of Manchester. He has been hailed as one to watch by two major players Joseph started djing at the age of 19 and has played at some of Manchester’s top venues including Gorilla and Sankey’s where he often stole the show with his passionate and very unique sets. He has notably been recognised by Mark Jenykns as a future house hold name with already having regular support on BBC Radio 1 from Monki and Danny Howard. Joseph continues to rise and gathers momentum with each release gaining more and more support from ravers and djs alike. Here he kicks off with “ Temptations EP" , a superbly pressurised Minimal tracks that locks you into the groove and introducing a warped and twisted lead synths. The drums never let up and keep marching forwards as a driving bassline and miniature explosions of cosmic keys light up the whole tracks.

Hailing from Warrington in the North of England, Ben Walsh' arrival on the scene in the last 12 months has been a rapidly successful one, his maiden release, Afrikan Dance hitting #1 on Beatport's top 100 across all genres.

His first release for NastyFunk, 'Can't U See' is an uplifting funk of a track, investing in minorly happy 303 patterns and intelligent percussive movement. It make you shake.

B Side 'Le's We Go' carries more of the exotic flavour over with some great use of analogue drum sounds and atmospheric vocals overlayed on a simply effective 4 x 4 groove.

With a career spanning more than a decade and a plethora of world-renowned events under his belt, Leonardo Gonnelli is no stranger to the big stage. Having risen through the ranks of the Florentine house scene, Leonardo comes armed with a rich catalogue of musical knowledge, which has gained the attention of the industry’s finest.
 
Leonardo’s DJ career started in Florence in 2001, and was heavily influenced by the acid-house and Detroit techno scenes that stormed the 90s. His dynamic and innovative approach to making music has captured the attention of high profile artists such as Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Adam Bayer, Marco Carola, Sven Vath, Dubfire and many others. 

As well as gaining a reputation for producing high quality tracks, Leonardo has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at world-wide events from Pacha in Buenos Aires to the legendary Space Miami, The Bpm Festival, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and of course, Sonar Off Week in Barcelona.

In 2014 Leonardo collaborated with Spain’s hottest duo, Chus & Ceballos, to release the original mix of ‘Soledad’ on Stereo Productions and Defected Records. The highly lauded track received support from industry heavy weights including Carl Cox, Solomun, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber and could be heard pulsating across every dance floor in Ibiza. ‘Soledad’ remained in Beatport’s Tech House Top 100 for six months, and received a nomination for ‘Best Track’ in the Vicious Music Awards 2014. 

After one year, in 2015, Leonardo starts to collaborate with Seth Troxler and his label “Play It Say It”.

This perfect blend of high-profile events and collaborations is testament to his dedication and enthusiasm, and as the pace increases, it’s clear, this journey is leading straight to the top.
