Following up on its six-part ‘Tripleution’ V/A series from last year, the label now launches a new series that offers a bumper selection of irresistible beats perfect for all hours of the night.  Rising star Emery (CH) opens up the release with 'Keep It Cool', a characterful cut with bristling breaks and piano stabs laced through the mix as clipped vocals and balmy pads bring warmth to the old-school motifs. Kinhaa's 'Metal Elvis' is a steely number where dry hits and twanging synths make for a futuristic groove, complete with a brilliantly melodic bassline and playful horns. Next up, BizZa’s 'Real Dancing' is low down and dirty with a dubby bassline and squelchy acid sounds topped with loose percussion that makes you want to move.   A three-way collab between Marian, Yolanda Be Cool & Fast Eddie means 'Side To Side' is an arresting tribal house jam drawing for funky Afro drum patterns designed to pump the party. Gustaff's 'Caligula' pairs things back with fizzing synth stabs lighting up the bouncing groove. There is a raw filth in the bassline that roams beneath the crisp kicks and hits of Mariano Lunadei's twitchy 'Work That Body' before Mene's 'Cuttin 1000' adopts a high-speed house sound with edgy synths and warped vocals adding plenty of unhinged character for freely late night floors. Rounding out the V/A, Timid Boy & Frankov's 'Holograma' is a shuffling tech house beat fusing vocal fragments and laser-like synths shooting over the smooth, chord-laced grooves. Venice-based rising DJ/producer Marco Rubin has been impressing the industry's finest with his energetic productions, including Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, and The Martinez Brothers. Despite debuting just last year, he's already made a swift impact on Amine Edge & DANCE’s CUFF and Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations sub-label Hottrax, hinting at a promising future. Now, as he prepares for his second release on Jones’ groove-heavy imprint, Rubin drops three thumping house tracks across his 'Time To Dance’ EP.

“These tracks were born from the idea of capturing the pure energy and adrenaline you feel when you're on the dance floor. I wanted to create tracks that evoke that perfect moment when the music transports you, the rhythm becomes irresistible, and you truly feel it's time to dance. My inspiration came during nights in the clubs, where the connection between the music and the crowd is palpable, and it's that sense of freedom that I aimed to translate into sound.” - Marco Rubin 

‘Time To Dance’ kicks off with jacking grooves, crisp beats, and vocals that instruct movement on the dancefloor, while ‘Percussion’ pulses with hot, bouncy beats and fresh, vibrant drums layered over a slick, funk-filled groove. Closing with deep, pulsating tones and electrifying clatters, 'Electro Diva' crafts an irresistible, menacing blend that grips the senses.

Emerging artist Candidate has hit the ground running after debuting on Hottrax in 2023 with ‘Sore Feet Society’ as part of the ‘Tripleution’ VA highlighting exciting global talent. Over the past year, he has been honing his craft, blending 90s-infused house with groovy analogue basslines on impressive releases like his ‘Bass Revolution’ EP on Max Dean’s NeXup imprint, which shot to No. 1 on Beatport within just two days and earned support from Chris Stussy and East End Dubs. Now, as the New Year kicks off, the Liverpool-based DJ/producer returns to Jones’ imprint with his first solo release on the label, ‘Sonic System’, featuring three dynamic groovers that highlight the EP’s hip-house influence. 

“My first ever release was on a Hottrax VA just over a year ago, so I’m excited to be back on the label, this time with my own EP consisting of 3 club-focused tracks showcasing my sound. - Candidate. 

Kicking things off, ‘Sonic System’ delivers an energetic rush, combining vibrant synths, nostalgic stabs, and a driving house beat that keeps you locked in. Built on pure UK heat, ‘Make U Freak’ mixes high-energy beats, throbbing low-ends and commanding vocals, while ‘Rhythm Drop’ delivers a playful mix of chimes that spark a wave of nostalgia, complemented by turntable scratches and punchy rhythms that wrap around the heads-down feel.

With a career spanning more than a decade and a plethora of world-renowned events under his belt, Leonardo Gonnelli is no stranger to the big stage. Having risen through the ranks of the Florentine house scene, Leonardo comes armed with a rich catalogue of musical knowledge, which has gained the attention of the industry’s finest.
 
Leonardo’s DJ career started in Florence in 2001, and was heavily influenced by the acid-house and Detroit techno scenes that stormed the 90s. His dynamic and innovative approach to making music has captured the attention of high profile artists such as Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Adam Bayer, Marco Carola, Sven Vath, Dubfire and many others. 

As well as gaining a reputation for producing high quality tracks, Leonardo has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at world-wide events from Pacha in Buenos Aires to the legendary Space Miami, The Bpm Festival, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and of course, Sonar Off Week in Barcelona.

In 2014 Leonardo collaborated with Spain’s hottest duo, Chus & Ceballos, to release the original mix of ‘Soledad’ on Stereo Productions and Defected Records. The highly lauded track received support from industry heavy weights including Carl Cox, Solomun, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber and could be heard pulsating across every dance floor in Ibiza. ‘Soledad’ remained in Beatport’s Tech House Top 100 for six months, and received a nomination for ‘Best Track’ in the Vicious Music Awards 2014. 

After one year, in 2015, Leonardo starts to collaborate with Seth Troxler and his label “Play It Say It”.

This perfect blend of high-profile events and collaborations is testament to his dedication and enthusiasm, and as the pace increases, it’s clear, this journey is leading straight to the top.
