Late that morning, G texted me with an urgent message: a band had dropped off the bill at the last minute, and they needed someone to hop on. And so it was. With gratitude, I played this set at J&J's ODB as a final offering before they closed their doors for good on the following Tuesday. As the creaky old basement held us together in musical community one final time, something resonated within all of us and I felt the gift of our collective presence in the moment. Thanks  again to J&J's for the space to be vulnerable and hold feelings through our moments of quiet ambience, bloody mosh pits, electric dances, cool poetry, hot pizza, and everything in between.
