I've just come across this track from the 8th July 2021. Sometimes after a band rehearsal with Taut Angles, I stick around for an hour or so, pick up my guitar (or rather I haven't put it down in the first place!)and keep recording to see what happens. The singer (Lee Pearse) and I had just done a little improvised number, just vocals and guitar and this was the riff I was using for that. I then looped it and improvised over the top. 
This is the result.

It's not a perfect track, there's a few fluffs in there but there's something about it. It was captured as a one off recording like so many other 'happenings' of mine and I really love the atmosphere of this one.
So much so I thought it was worth putting out into the world.

Know Your Name

Sea of Clouds was inspired by minimalist and ambient approaches. Source material was composed, improvised, or captured in field recordings. Elements of chance were incorporated through semi-random editing, dynamic/variable signal paths, and heavy feedback loops. The resulting soundscapes are sometimes choral, sometimes human, sometimes the result of technology ripping itself to shreds.

LAUT floats around in the ether somewhere between the bands STATIONS and Taut Angles.
It's basically what happens when Andrew isn't with us for a Taut Angles session and myself (Leon) & Lee do our thing with Joe (Taut Angles & The Shitehawks) on drums.
