Loopmasters welcome Leon Switch to the artist series with deep moody Dubstep sample collection that is packed with filthy basses, hard edged percussion and cinematic SFX.
Leon Switch is a name synonymous with the UK Bass Music scene. Having produced under the Kryptic Minds moniker for the past 16 years, Leon is now striking out as a solo act once again, this time under Distance’s Chestplate imprint.
Inside this dark& sinister collection of royalty free loops and one shot sounds you will find 30 filthy bass loops with plenty of devastating  single shot bass sounds for building your own dark and dirty bass lines including nasty neuro mid-range stabs and heavyweight subs.
In the drums section you will find 115 loops split up into 29 drum loops that come fully mixed and with individual stems of each part plus 20 percussion loops allowing you to mix and match rhythmic elements to build your own ferocious drum tracks. Also included are 60 single shot drums for those who prefer to program their beats.
The melodic section is hit with 41 breath-taking moody atmospheric synth loops ranging from Deep Spacey Chords to Twisted Arps and FX plus you get 4 Atmospheric Pad Multi Samples to use in your favourite software samplers. Finally rounding off this incredible pack are 41 inspirational SFX sounds and Impact noises that will add drama any Dubstep production.
In Detail expect to find 1.65Gb of 24Bit 44.1Khz loops and sounds including 30 Bass Loops, 29 Unique Drum Loops with split versions (total loops 115), 20 Percussion Loops, 41 Music Loops, 2 Bass Multi Sampled Instruments, 5 Pad Multi Sampled Instruments, 60 Drum One Shots, 60 Mid-Range Bass Stabs, 207 Rex2 Files and 82 Soft Sampler Patches.

#IFSDIGIVALPGM008: BLOCKLAB - 'Future Forms,VOL.2' Guest Mix

This mix was done for us by Mono Code for Source Control, featuring unreleased music and tracks from the forthcoming Unkey & Mono Code collab release “Tech Two EP”, that will come out on Source Control the 24th of October 2025.

Launched in 2025, Source Control is an innovative music label founded by UK based artist Unkey. With a vision to create a platform that embraces a diverse range of musical styles, it will remain firmly rooted in its origin of dubstep and 140 beats. The label is dedicated to showcasing sub-heavy music that is dark and atmospheric, providing a sonic landscape where artists can explore their creativity without limits. 

Cornwall-based producer Henry McEndoo, formerly known as Deft Design, nowpresents his latest project: Mono Code. An underground electronic artist withroots in dubstep and halftime drum & bass, his sound has always been definedby dark, atmospheric undertones and meticulous attention to rhythm andtexture.Mono Code represents an evolution — a sharper focus on the intersectionsbetween breakbeat, garage, dubstep and forward-thinking bass music, while drawing increasing influence from the hypnotic drive of techno.

Unkey is another producer who effortlessly explores the darker side of bass-driven dance music, seemingly drawing inspiration from stripped-back Grime instrumentals and two-step rhythms. The Midlands based talent has released on such labels as Artikal Music, Dungeon Beats, Uprise Audio, and more. His sound is a high-octane amalgamation of the many strains of UK bass-centric music, often with a melodic and rhythmic flair that typifies his tracks. Unkey is also founder of the Source Control label and an accomplished DJ/producer bagging up airtime on staple stations such as BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, 1 Xtra, Rinse fm and SWU.fm. 

With the new “Tech Two” release on Source Control, the duo delves deeper in their shared fascination with texture and structure. Re-imagining and reconstructing material from their previous “Tech One” each track is a re-egineering of form, tuned for the darker corners of the club. The result is a record that feels both connected to its origin while entrirely forward looking, setting the stage for “Tech Three” coming out next year, where the evolution of their sound will continue.

'TYPOGRAPHY', the new album from N-Type, a name synonymous with early Dubstep sounds and beyond. N-Type started buying records in the early 90s and loved the sounds of Jungle, Drum & Bass and Garage. As different strains of UK Garage emerged, N-Type's influence and production followed the darker, 2 Step Garage and Grime route, which aligned with the early Dubstep sound. N-Type's production and DJ Sets have always been an amalgamation of the wide UK underground, and this album is a reflection of that, from Reggae and Dub to Garage, Breaks, Grime, Jungle and Dubstep. 

'TOO BADMIND' with MC DONI RAMPAGE kicks off a Grimey Trap intro, dropping into a half-step tearing bassline, whilst DONI'S flow darts between the beats with furious effect. Another MC N-Type had always wanted to work with is GRIM SICKERS, who recorded and toured with THE STREETS. SICKERS lays down some serious bars on 'Top Of The Map' in his signature style on another bass-heavy USA / UK Collab with LAZY K.
