Cette composition naquît de l’envie de symboliser la douce et lente arrivée d’un orgasme, par la répétition, un cycle sans réel point d’appui rythmique, dans lequel les sensations s’oublient, s’éternisent et se confondent.

This composition sprang from the desire to symbolize the slow and soft coming of an orgasm, using repetition, an eternal cycle without any proper rhythmic foundation, within which sensations go astray, drag on and merge with one another.

🌱 Textures Organiques est un collage musical expérimental composé tout d’abord pour un projet de Théo Brice, qui exposait de magnifiques photographies en gros plans de végétations diverses.

💐 La beauté de son travail, capturée au cours de ses voyages, m’a autant inspiré cette musique que cette vidéo, que j’ai créées à partir d’enregistrements faits lors de mes propres expéditions en France.

🌱 Textures Organiques is an experimental musical collage originally composed for an exhibition by Théo Brice, which displayed beautiful close-up photographs of vegetation. 

💐 The beauty of his work, that he captured during his travels, inspired me both this music and this video, created only using recordings of my own natural retreats in France.

🐌 Margo est une composition rapiécée dans laquelle je me suis amusé à manipuler des boucles issues d’une improvisation jouée sur un orgue des années soixante-dix ainsi qu’un clavier rhodes plein de caractère

🎙 La narration du morceau est fortement soutenue par des enregistrements d’ambiance que j’ai capturés à divers endroits entre la Provence et les côtes océaniques françaises, sous les genres de pluies humides conviant d’amicaux escargots

🎞 Pour la vidéo, inspiré par le travail de Jacques Perconte, je me suis formé à la destruction des matières visuelles grâce à un procédé nommé le datamoshing, brisant les images d’une manière qui me semblait être accordées aux moyens que j’ai mis en œuvres dans la composition musicale

🐌 Margo is a stitched composition in which I playfully manipulated loops of an improvisation featuring an early seventies organ and a gritty rhodes keyboard

🎙 The track’s narrative is heavily supported by field recordings I did on various locations between the french Provence and the oceanic coasts, captured under the kind of humidity that invited some friendly snails

🎞 For the video, inspired by the work of Jacques Perconte, I taught myself to glitch my footage with a process called datamoshing, helping to break the visual material in such a way that I felt it fitted adequately the way I created the soundtrack

Foreword : The sound of the video has been remixed using a binaural technology in order to be accurate to a domelike immersion. Headphones are therefore recommended.

'Collapse' is an ephemeral piece created in collaboration with Pierre Amoudruz, artistic director of the association AADN and visual artist, during the immersive creation workshop of January 2019.

This creation is a reflexion around the subject of collapsology.
