I think this one speaks for it's self. An interview / conversation with a long time traveller from Chile with some strange sounds from Norway (or more specifically Propellerheads Rebirth).

From Chile to Norway

The first riff I that came to me on my cigar box guitar made by Claudio Forlini. I performed it in the performance Long Distance Hotel Revisited at Teatro Maria Matos (2011).

I began playing guitar and singing in bands in high school in Edinburgh, and went on to study music technology in London (London Guildhall University) where I started to experiment with music for film, and composing with computer sequencing (originally using C-Lab's Creator environment on Atari).
Over the years I have developed an interdisciplinary artistic career, with Wrap arts centre in Bergen providing a flexible production hub from which I have developed my own performing arts productions and collaborated with various artists within different fields.
The music on this page provides a few sporadic snap shots of stuff that I have done completely solo. All material is composed, performed, recorded and mixed by Leo Preston (apart from the voice on "From Chile to Norway"). Most of these compositions/ songs were written for my own theatre pieces.
The same steadfast instruments have followed me for many years, forming the basis of my sound, and appearing on recording after recording.

In 2015 I was given some municipal funds to record my first (solo) album. It will be a loosely conceptual album, containing 12 songs. This material currently exists as a combination of rough draughts, and some final recordings. Due to unforeseen political and administrative circumstances at Wrap arts centre (of which I am an integral part) this album is still unfinished at present. However, I have begun developing a live performance (to perform these songs) and short preliminary versions have already been performed at Caféteatret in Oslo, and Oktoberdans festival in Bergen.
