The Impossible Trinity, briefly explained.

Leo Wiggins - Impossible Trinity

It's finally here!! Here's a multitrack'd track of the TTBB arrangement of Pavel Tchesnokov's Spaséniye Sodélal. I sang two voices per part with the exception of a few moments where I added an octave or a fifth to the existing arrangement. I recorded it using a Yeti by Blue Microphones and mastered it in Logic Pro X. 

Next up I'll focus on some original arrangements

I asked my director for a recommendation for a tag to sing and he recommended this one. I very much enjoyed recording it

As always, it's fun to see what other people think will be interesting or cool. This tag is also startlingly appropriate all things considering.

Spooky Scary Skeletons

Best volume setting: loud/10, preferably in the 14/10 or 18/10 limit. I set a limiter on the output and may regret it. This is meant to tear down kingdoms (and sounds great on big heavy headphones)

I was playing with the first synth you hear and from that I began experimenting with layering sounds/rhythms and implied keys/scales and woosh! an hour passed. 

Eventually I decided the Lich King's Speech from Adventure Time fit well over the evolving sound. And I dragged the bangin' tune to a weird and soulful conclusion that leaves you asking "wait what?"

Excellent.

This was a tough piece because...well, every part is out of my comfortable range, but Ola really does an amazing job of arranging such beautiful music. Every part had its fun moments, beautiful little turns, and the whole is so glorious.

As always I wish I'd sung a lot quieter near the top, but it's hard to have perspective on that global dynamic during the very first recordings.

After how I recorded it last time, I was thinking I wanted a cleaner recording, which at my skill level means fewer voices, more focus on delivering good performances on each.

This took longer than expected but was still a lot of fun, and I feel good about it!
