I had an idea for a bassline, that turned into a piano part... I then turned it into a "palindrome", getting to the mid point then reversing back to the start... I added in a wee "synth sub" & recorded a live bass ... which made it sound a little like a wonky Mogwai track? Here's the code if you're interested...

My First "live" jam on my new Teenage Engineering PO-12 rhythm toy. I bought the SUB (PO-14) too, so will play & upload soon.

I recorded some vocals based on an abstract "faux tribal" chant (yes / no / at / hey). No guides or timing. I then pulled together the sample "randomly" in Sonic Pi using a variable from 1 to 8. Depending on the value, different samples get pulled in at different times (single, double, triple samples). The pan is also set randomly. If you want to see the code, let me know.

The Wailing 2nd Take

First shot creating a track for "monthMusic". Utilising samples recorded during each month, I aim to shape 12 tracks that serve as an audio diary / sonic sketchbook for my 2013. remixes & additional sketches from me & friends will also appear... I hope!

a "quick" experiment with a found sound & various layered effects, with my often used "beat array" set up (create arrays to represent beats in bars, then use an if statement to check "if" the beat isn't 0 (silent)...

A busy month for not music. and also a week of relentless non information dragging us into the past. I wanted to pay tribute to the sheer anger I felt having to listen to the same platitudes & ancient arguments over and over and over again. Ironically (and I am well aware of this) I am adding to that continuation. catch 22.
