Slow Notion is the second single from L'Equipe du Son's forthcoming
album The Odyssey Project which is expected January 2013.
Both the original vocal version and instrumental mix sweep you right
back into the eighties in their overall mix and mastering, synth
lines, massive snare drums and the unique sound of the vocalist, 
who somewhat reminds us of Chris Rea and Depeche Mode.

Martin Dubka
The first remix is provided by the UK based producer Martin Dubka
This guy was recommended to us by Mr. Aeroplane himself and after
hearing the premaster of his remix we understood why.
A stellar remix! And by pitching the voice into a big disco-diva kinda
feel he has fashioned it to something very original.
A really cool and different sound from the original making it a real
assett to the release.
As part of the Aeropop label you'll be hearing a lot more from Martin Dubka 
in the near future!

DJ Rocca
The second remix comes from the man who's been producing music since the
late 90s and we've been a fan ever since! He has had some really sweet
collaborations with Howie B, Pressure Drop, Zed Bias, Dimitri From Paris, 
Daniele Baldelli and Jazzanova producing singles, remixes and albums on some 
of the best European labels as Sonar Kollektiv, Compost, Hell Yeah, Rebirth,
 Musik Krause, Deep Freeze, International Feel, Defected and Gomma.
We are of course talking about the Italian Stallion DJ Rocca. His take
on Slow Notion brings a heavy disco vibe to the scene and is a pure
joy to listen to.
In fact it's so good that we've also put the instrumental version of his mix on 
the release! If only for the Jupiter 6 or the Juno 60, both synths used in his remixes!
If you haven't yet, we would also strongly recommend you to check out
Ajello, one of his other recent projects with some great Nu Disco releases!

The Beat Broker
And Last but certainly not least it's The Beat Broker!
We came across some of The Beat Broker's work a while a go on Flexx,
Ghost Town, Add2Basket, Rebirth, Internasjonal and we have been following 
him ever since.	
Based in San Fran, US The Beat Broker is constantly attempting to fuse
old sounds with new ideas and create something for the crowd as well
as the listener.
His take on Slow Notion brings a more dubby 'after-hours' vibe to the
score making the ep complete. Dreamy with lush pads, It's like a warm
bath of Synthesizing.

More generally, one can regard science fiction as a broad genre of fiction that often involves speculations based on current or future science or technology and is found in books, art, television, films, games and in this epic disco gem by the storyteller himself L'Equipe du Son.

With Aux tha Masterfader - a.k.a. the Disco Dictator, Smooth Operator of Vintage Synths & Drum Machines - you better watch your step ‘cause there might be a Juno On the Floor!

Our second release of this year comes from Dutch Disco king Aux tha Masterfader with his already legendary Juno on the Floor featuring Mr Zee.

Aux might be the disco dictator but in Juno On The Floor he slides the electro right out of the boogie. Yes people, that’s what you do when it’s 1983, you toprock, downrock and freeze to the beats of the 707, the bass of the Juno 60 and the lyrics of Mr Zee, Power Move and BAM! You own it!
But you better watch your step ‘cause there might be a Juno on the Floor!
Anyway, before DAWs, plug-ins and all that, you did stuff the analogue way and you’d better remember to Press Play on Tape otherwise you had to start all over again, and Aux is keeping that memory alive.

For this release Aux tha Masterfader teamed up with his b-boys Rayko - the wiri master from Spain, The Supermen Lovers - the disco legionair from France and L'Equipe du Son - the teen wolf from Neverland.

Foreign Boy is a lover of all things Italo and Hi Nrg, producing and
releasing modern italo hits with vintage feelings. Foreign Boy first got
noticed with his release of his modern italo classic “Dance Like A Light”
a perfect example of his focus on driving disco beats, arpeggiated bass lines,
funky riffs and unforgettable vocal hooks, and Touch Me is no different!

Touch Me was born from a Italo Disco weekend in Amsterdam.
Driving round the city with a choice Italo soundtrack was the spark that
sent Foreign Boy into the studio full of inspiration.
Touch Me features vocals from Foreign Boy himself, with his roots as a punk rocker he dazzles the track with a pure punk avant-garde vocal hook to complement the Italo backdrop.  

Remixes come from Aux the Masterfader, Nude Disco and L’Equipe du Son

Aux the Masterfader his remix was heavily influenced by Prince & chicago house. Known for his love for analog gear the Synthmeister used his beloved LinnDrum, Juno 60, Polysix, Oberheim Matrix 6 and Roland SH-2 for this remix.
The result; driving disco beats, rolling bass lines and warm synthesizers.

Nude Disco produces synth pop tinged with 80’s disco with european influences.
“This remix was a pleasure to do for my good friend Foreign Boy who has also been a resident at my Nude Disco club nights and a mainstay on the Nude Disco label. My mix was the last piece of work I did in my now defunct London studio and contained all the elements I love. Machine drum hits, FM Bass and Trevor Horn inspired brass stabs.” That's some straight up disco love from one bro to another! <3

After hearing the ep for the first time Silhouette’s head honcho L’Equipe du Son was so inspired he made a remix himself and the result is a funk driven track, build on the classic ‘707 drums - Moog baseline combo’. #classicshit
