wrote this track as a cautionary tale about talking to strangers when you're doing the gig thing, it was written, more or less, about a comment an ex girlfriend had said, obviously she turned out to be correct... at that time.. and now  i know of the dangers and temptations out there, I can say without a doubt, I know a  hell of a lot more now.. 
Recorded in Level 1 studios, Lawrence Thompson, more or less, made this track what it is.. recorded in 1980 on an analogue  16 track reel to reel, with the use of the good old faithful, Atari Sreinberg and a roland TR7, everything else was either sung or played
