Fresh off their remix for aUtOdiDakT & Nadisko which got a lot of support in the scene they deliver their first Ep for Maehtrasher which to nobodys surprise is a decent floor-stormer. While Squeeze is a evil 303 stomper Surge keeps it funky and clappy. On Remixes old label buddies Bobble turn out a corker of a techno tune, Rob Threezy keeps it jacking and russian Roby Howler & Namesis deliver their soundtrack to eastblock ghetto nights.

Maehtrasher is celebrating his 50th installment of dark contemporary and edgy underground club music with a monster of a label compilation! 19 exclusive tracks and 38 best-of tracks from the label catalogue for a bargain! We thought it would be a cool thing for everyone involved to make a package beyond your usual 15 best selling tracks of the backcatalogue and wanted to showcase as much as possible of the talented artists and banging tracks we had in the past and at the same time showing you where we are going in the future and bringing you fresh new tracks and acts. Please support the artists involved by buying the album, we promise good karma will be your reward! Since 2010 Maehtrasher is a home for heavy bass rave, dark techno and pouding electro and as we see it a good label compilation should be like a family gathering after not seeing each other a few years- everyone brings their latest fancy dress (in form of an exclusive track) to show off and everyone is laughing about their past adventures together when they are drunk. Everyone is there, the fat cousin, the dandy uncle, the loud grandpa and even the funny hippie guy who seems to be some aunts boyfriend. So after 4 years you find a lot of artists on here that either grew together with the label or changed their style, renamed, left, have different projects in the meantime or just sticked to their music or the label. They are all very important parts of our history and we are proud on every single one of them! Also, this is the first of a following series of sausage covers on the label and we start with a classic blood sausage with a filling of cooked tongue. In keeping with the ethos of Death Proof, ensuring the freshness is always paramount, we introduce yet another new-blood ensemble to the roster.

Scotland's Terry Whyte & BKD are 2 tech-fuelled demons of the minimal kind, with a string of titanic releases on XTC, Creepy Fingers and more; they step onto to the Death Proof platform with a monstrous introduction, in the shape of 'C'mon Back', a devilishly-minimal affair, with enough glitch and pop to make Green Velvet do a little hotstep and a grinding head-rocking bassline that'll make all top lips turn!

And not content with slamming home the original, Terry Whyte took to the remix duties, alongside Belgian electro-techno-mafia Les Tronchiennes and the irrepressible tech-house troubadour Rikardo.

Terry Whyte's remix sees a slightly more abyssesque depth introduced, apocalyptic synths and a just-as-slutty bassline ensues, and just to hit that deep texture home, submarine sonar sounds pan and delay to great effect. 
Les Tronchiennes (Silver Wave, La Bombe) go straight up, smash-you-in-the-face Electro on their efforts. Lazer-beam style pads blast holes through a direct and punchy drumline which allows subtlety to take over in the breakdown, which has the morbid vocal of the original hitting home to great effect, only to slam straight back in to their signature dirt-fest!

And there's no forgetting one of our men of the moment Rikardo (Death Proof, Perfecto, Baroque). The Welsh resident and new addition to fatherhood (congrats!), who has been chart-hopping with his recent efforts, applies his tremendous tech-house flavours to his remix. With monstrous percussion throughout, he's added his own feverous and infectious synths to make it into a track that deserves to be front of the bag for some time! One last thing, keep your eyes peeled for a huge release from him soon via Death Proof Recordings!

Biography – Les Tronchiennes

Bombing kicks, flaming snares and piercing hi-hats along with red-hot bass lines under a sharp-cut synth-shot. It sounds like war in a musical form. However, it is the prelude to a typical track of Les Tronchiennes. This war sound is part of their attempt to distinguish themselves from other musicians. At parties in and around their hometown Drongen, a borough of Ghent, they were quickly bored with the few varieties in sound and feeling while partying. In their early years, they participated ignorantly in the musical vicious circle of playing the same music all the time. But after a while they started to realize that this was nothing for them, they wanted to spin differently than the rest: they wanted to do something special.

Belgian duo Stef Allein and Matthieu Jacobs went looking for something reinvigorating. They found producers and tracks that helped them in their transformation and gave them a new vibe and inspiration. In doing this, they wanted to create something unique, something of their own, and so they started producing themselves. From that moment on, they searched and worked to find their own sound and a way to create a specific feeling in that sound; they were looking for the Les Tronchiennes-experience! After a few years they found that experience, after a wrenching time of searching they finally created their own specific sound. They’ve made a mark in the dance music culture with supporters like Soulwax, Steve Aoki, Don Rimini, Alesia, Modek, Blatta & Inesha, Autokratz,  Highbloo, Sharooz, Dr. Lektroluv, Gtronic, The Oddword and Autodidakt to name a few. Their tracks were also aired on radio stations like BBC One and Studio Brussel.

Signing up to several labels like Autodidakt’s Maehtrasher, Sharooz’ La Bombe and Blatta & Inesha’s CRUX Records, Matthieu and Stef released some EP’s that didn’t stay unnoticed. Their hard work gave them the opportunities to play shows at the coolest and respected venues and clubs. From Mysteryland in The Netherlands, to Sunrise Festival in Belgium, from Q-Base and Lehmann Club in Germany back to Defqon 1 and Qult in The Netherlands as well with shows at several other festivals and clubs like Culture Club in their hometown Ghent.
 
Expect a thought-slaying and body-killing set if you intend to watch these guys performing!
