After having invited, a few months ago, eight of the best producers France currently has to offer, La Forge now temporarily steps away from the ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ series for a more radiant and solar output. ‘Crysta Ensolaris’ is fueled by the optimism inspired by the perspective of soon getting back on the dancefloor, after more than a year of privation : this sheer need to reunite and come together, be it day or night, during these sweet moments of daydream that we’ve all been missing so much.
Back to an EP formula, our core main producers (Nigm, Slowglide, Lebird, Shonen Bat & Ayuji) gratify us with five tracks full of U.V. vibes. Soothing introduction ‘Ephemeral’, by Nigm, is an introspective downtempo nugget, not unlike a mystical journey under a zenith sun, with its load of sonic mirages and illusion. Then Slowglide turns the acid up, layering breakbeats into the incantatory ‘Solstice’, a big-beat-infused psychedelic track perfectly designed to launch a neo-pagan rave.
Suddenly, here comes the eclipse. Lebird’s ‘Adonia’, a high-energy electro banger, takes us to one of those sweltering nights when bodies undulate and collide, breathless as the kick drum hits. Then, wild kid Shonen Bat propels us towards a gigantic solarpunk rave in zero gravity with ‘Planet Serotonia’, a hybrid, alien-sounding track somewhere between breakbeat house & high-protein UK hardcore. Finally, Ayuji puts a finishing touch to this fantastic trip with ‘Heliopolis’, a swift, solar house gem mingling Detroit techno influences with some trance elements. Like an ultimate rush of dopamine at sunrise, just before the party draws to a close.

Dylan Dylan gets things started with a slice of deep, UKG style beats, Marc Brauner & Jimbo Mack collaborate and make a continuation of the UKg vibe with a German flavour, followed by Foreach with a serious dose of uplifting breakbeat business. Togethrs produces some sublime drum & bass sounds, and Minor Sine Project brings us vibey, acid breaks. Jordan Raymond supplies some atmospheric, laid back rhythms, followed by Nørus & DJ WHIPR SNIPR who drop a powerful chunk of bassline orientated material. Miami-based producers DJ Ray and Goiz welcome a new batch of producers for the second instalment in their Club Tools series. Just like their first collection, round two brings a pack of tunes custom-made for the "explorative club deejay", ranging from raw drum workouts to hypnotic, shuffling beats. On this one we're treated to fresh material from a handful of US producers - Miami's Bong Soup, NYC producer Will Dimaggio and Canadian-bred-Berliner Logan Sturrock aka FlØrist - as well as Seoul-based maestro Mogwaa.
