We hosted Philipp long ago at our defunct "Exotika" party at La Java, Paris and it's a pleasure to finally have him on the series !

In the game for 20 years, Lauer prolific career led him to release on some of the coolest german or international labels such as Live At Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, Beats In Space, Running Back, International Feel, Futureboogie, Emotional Especial, Unknown To The Unknown and many more.
He also made plenty of collaborations, such as "Black Spuma" with Fabrizio Mammarella, "Tuff City Kids" with Gerd Janson, "T&P" with Tim Sweeney, "Crabsticks" with Skatebard and also countless remixes.

MM Cast 16: ADRIAN MARTH

Due to our personal lifes we've been in silence more than what we were expecting first. However we are very glad to be back with our MM Cast. This time we get back to 80's territories with a very special mix signed by Adrian Marth, head of the always surprising label "Italo Moderni"

No need to say how much we like the vibe of Italo Moderni and Adrian Marth. The barcelona's based capo, big fan of synths, EBM and Newbeat; has been building recently a solid spot on the scene, being a big influence for dj's who focus their sound on the Italo era.

In this new cast, Adrian Marth dig on his huge vinyl collection delivering a very special mix where (of course) "Italo-Disco" will be the leitmotiv of the story. it's getting dark time to use your  sunglases at night.

LAYER number 303 is coming your way from the two-headed eagle Kiara Scuro!

Rosie Ama and Nadia are everywhere thses days, sporting their trophy pics on social media. The duo started their radio show on London's Balamii Radio in 2016 and soon started performing together in clubs. Gigs across the UK and Europe followed, and now, a fistfull of days after, we see them producing acid and trance tracks and bake more plans for the future together. 

Here we see them LAYERing that blend of acid not acid with wacko electronica on a tempo rollercoaster.

LAYER #303 | Kiara Scuro

Tech Support always finds a groove in everything he touches. Be that through his DJ sets, mixes or his own productions, there's a rhythmic fluidity and depth that always guides his way.

He never confines himself to one sound or style but there's a distinct nod to the 80s in his influences and output; be assured you'll find lashings of Italo, vintage darkwave, euphoric house and slo mo chug when he's behind the decks or laying it down in the studio.

His work rate as a producer has been on the up over the last few years. If he's not sharing his solo work, which has formed releases for Nocturne, Together Alone, Futureboogie, Silver Bear and, most recently Ano Ano, he's crafting his own self-released edits and reworks of legendary new beat, new wave and Italo Disco tracks like 'Burning Down The House', 'Je Suit Passee' and 'Drop The Deal'. Lately he's been making music under another alias, Asa Tate, with a track penned for this year's Rhythm Section SHOUTS compilation. 

For his Shine A Light On mix, he dives into the sounds we've come to know him for: there's revving Italo, hypnotic Goa, groovy acid not acid and dusty progressive trance. Dig in...

With creating Hard Fist records, Tushen Raï has found a way to bring together his two passions: collecting records and traveling. Highly inspired by labels like Optimo, Versatile, Comeme and by the spirits of Andrew Weatherhall, he have only one motto : "Stay singular, keep the floor tripping, give them something they don't know". From Turkish psychedelism to Romanian cold wave, Jamaican Disco or tribal breakbeat, his undeniable dancing sets are fed with powerful soul voices, weirdo beats and unknown instruments.

For Bordello Radio, he delivers a one hour mix of records picked up from his personal record collection surfing from cosmic dub to balearic and 90’s trance.

Cited by Kompakt boss Michael Mayer as “The hottest thing in the 4/4 business right now”, 2018 was a busy year for the mysterious Venetian producer/DJ. Fango’s Viscera series, a trilogy EP release and a sonic essay of the body, was crowned by the industries main players for all its weird unfathomable brilliance with the track “Rectum” taking all the dance floor’s that mattered by storm. Not to mention a string of hit remixes for Dj Hell’s “Car Car Car”, Rebolledo’s “Pow Pow” and Red Axes “Sun My Sweet Sun. Last years his latest trilogy series, Urano, which featured the dance-floor banger “Sikhote” all received premieres from Resident Advisor, whilst his full-length LP “GEA” received widespread critical acclaim.

Artists like 2manydjs, Maceo Plex, Dixon, Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier, Mano Le Tough, Solomon, Ben UFO, etc. are major supporters as is Jackmaster who featured him on his latest Dj Kick’s series whilst Marcel Dettmann describing his track Vampiro as “Really straight but I love the atmosphere, it gives me goosebumps!” Fango is a virtuous perfectionist obsessed with mixing bass-drums, recording percussions and sampling drummers. It doesn’t matter if it’s a drum machine or a gong from an orchestra, he will make it sound right.

Maurizio Dami aka Alexander Robotnick is a DJ and a producer from Italy who gained a vast reputation in the early 80s with his track “Problèmes d'amour” released by Sire-Wea which soon became a “cult” within dance music. In the 90s he was very active on the world-music scene but went back to electronics at the beginning of the new millennium. In 2003 he started his career as an international DJ and since then has been playing in major cities in Europe and the U.S. at famous clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Fabric and Plastic People in London, Coral Room and Love in NYC, Razzmatazz, Olympia and Be Cool in Barcelona, Sky Bar and Smart Bar in Chicago, Berghain in Berlin, Paradiso in Amsterdam.... the list is long.

He played at many electronic music festivals such as Movement Festival (Detroit), Exit Festival (Serbia), Insonnia (Tromzo), Geek Picnick Festival (Moscow), Dimension Festival (Croatia), Altavoz (Medellin) Reverso (Milan) Lente Kabinet (Amsterdam) Glitch Festival (Malta) Biennale Musica (Venice), Electro-Mechanica (St. Petersburg), Dekmantel (Amsterdam)... just to mention a few.

His records are released by many labels including SIRE/WEA, Materiali Sonori, Yellow Production, Creme Organization, Permanent Vacation, Hot Banana, This Is Music, Clone Records, Bordello a Parigi, and Bosconi Records, for instance. Since 2003, he's been running his own label: Hot Elephant Music (https://www.hot-elephant.com). He remixed tracks by Detroit Grand Pubahs, Giorgio Moroder, Robosonic, Kompute, Little Boots, David Carretta, Planet Funk, Bottin, and Fabrizio Mammarella... just to mention a few.

He gained a reputation also as a video maker. His odd and funny video clips got more than 4 million views on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/mauriziodami).

His DJing style covers different genres of dance music: New-Disco, Italo-Disco, Tech-House, Electro-House etc. With Ludus Pinsky he started the project "The Analog Session" (https://www.the-analog-session.it). Their most popular video clip "N5 from outer space" reached more than 1,5 million views (https://youtu.be/H511Iye6BsI).

Maurizio Dami lives in Firenze (Italy). He owns a basement studio–apartment in town where he spends all his time when in Firenze. The rest of the time he spends at the seaside in South Tuscany or in Sri Lanka/India during the winter. He is still performing live concerts and DJ-Sets, but since he is a bit old, he is limiting his activity. He uses to play DJ-Sets in India during the winter. During the period 2015-2020, he travelled by motorbike through many South Indian states taking shots. Maurizio is doing quite well despite the ailments due to his age, 72. And he owns all things he needs, including a studio, car, bicycle, and some cash. He has a long-term love affair with Donatella. They are celebrating 22 years of not-marriage right now. He still enjoys his work in the studio as he did at the beginning of his career, and this is very important. So, life should be easy for him. Unfortunately, the present geo-political situation makes him very concerned and also disappointed with the new generations who seem not to understand or care about what is happening and why.
