What to lose? The fear!? How do you feel to being human today in 2020's?

2020, a year that will be forever engraved in our memories as Year One of the Covid debacle.
So much has already been said about it that we feel there is no need for more.
However, 2020 was also the year when wonderful Malka Tuti label released Tapan’s remix to Decha’s song Niebla from her sold-out debut album Hielo Boca as part of MT0028 Decha - Hielo Boca Remixes. This remix led to a fresh collaboration between the Serbian duo and the German vocalist, which in time bred a brand new track, titled simply TWENTY.
On Twenty, Tapan’s massive bass lines, heavy kicks and their sense for drama and epicness, meets Viktoria Wehrmeister aka Decha’s soft poetic lyrics and tribal style. The result is a massive slow yet heavy tribal industrial track for the alternative dance floors and late night situations in dark dark basements.
The record is comprised of 4 tracks, an original version and a beatless version as well as a deep and trippy dancehall interpretation by one of the best duos and half planet's favourite remixers Full Circle (aka Joakim & Alexis Le-Tan) and a punky mid-tempo banger by Mexican maestro and total inspiration Rebolledo who gives his signature sonic attitude to his interpretation of the original track.

Jonathan Kusuma makes his return to Cocktail d’Amore with a love letter to his Indonesian homeland. Each song is steeped in the ancient textures and timbres of the gamelan yet only brought to life through modular synthesis. Awalan opens the EP with a delicate touch, imbued with otherworldly chirps and the aural colors of an early morning sunrise. Roda Rodi as Mr. Kusuma explains is his interpretation of interlocking as a traditional Indonesian way of life. “Gotong Royong"" or ""Mutual Assistance"". The idea of mutual assistance is sharing of burdens between the member of the community. Modular sequences tightly fit into one another, helping to support one another in the structure of their momentary existence. “Kerontang” and “Racacak” are two cuts that have Jonathans signature sound design printed all over them. Big, booming, and full of enraptured percussion. We’re treated to a haunting close on “Lorong K”. Menaced tones rising and falling, small fragments piercing through as to be bits of disintegrating concrete falling off the walls of a lost city.

My Friend Dario is back on his home label Hell Yeah with a new EP that continues his journey through Balearic beats. Sonica Jonica EP is an homage to the Mar Jonio coast on the Ionian sea and will appeal to fans of his NuNorthern Soul release last year.

The title track opens up with looping synths rising up from below in dramatic fashion. They're filled with tension as the chugging drums and fat bass roll on and after a break in the heaviness, the dark disco groove returns again. 'Marittimo' then cuts loose on jazzy chords with tumbling toms, percussion, shakers and marimbas all bringing a sunny open-air sound. 'Old But Gold' is perfect dance floor disco bliss with its leggy drums and splashy hits run through with curious and colourful synth sounds. Last of all, 'Acid Mosquito In Summer Night' mixes up 60s psyche, dark funk, freaky disco and expect percussion into an ever-evolving workout that sounds like little else.

With this fresh EP, My Friend Dario has served up some perfect grooves for summer.

Summer is over and the end of 2022 is rushing up to meet us. But we’re just getting started with Throne of Blood’s anniversary releases. Hot on the heels of EP 1 featuring Chloé, Joakim & Max Pask, Justin Cudmore, and Liona, we return with the second blitz of special material for EP 2.

Kicking things off is label fixture and A Love From Outer Space maestro Sean Johnston in his Hardway Bros guise with “The Other Side,” which was the very first song submitted for this series composed in the wake of Andrew Weatherall’s passing. Having been roadtested extensively in pandemic-era ALFOS EBS livestreams, it is finally available to all.
