Younger Than Me are Marcello Carozzi and John Ming, a rising DJ and producer duo from Milan. They teamed up with singer Lara Caprotti for their debut release. The uplifting synth arrangements combined with the soulful voice of Lara results in an ultimate sexy-disco-rave euphoria. Fellow Italians Massimiliano Pagliara and Uabos handled the remixes and and put their sophisticated signature on top. A future club classic, sweet as honey!

Record will be out the 29th of March on Bordello A Parigi.

Here in Calypso we are entuclasts of the Edits and we took this duty very seriously so we decided to have our own edit series called "Correcciones Calypso". For the first release we have 4 banging tracks from Tyu, Iñigo Vontier, Serial Experiments and Plot Pilot wich we are proud to present to you here in our own soundlcoud. And as Juno says Plot Pilot heads skywards with "Knock Around," which sends strafing synth lines darting across the mix with some heavy bass and guitars.

PRÈMIÉRE: Jamie Paton - Improper Conduct [Multi Culti]

Mr BC, aka Bob Salmond, returns to Roam with three new originals to form the Chicken Skin Suit EP. The Scottish artist opens up the EP with the title track that hints at early 80s dance with its off kilter arp bass under ethereal strings punctuated by spatters of electro toms. Lithuanian producer, Roam alumni, and prolific rising star Zakmina accentuates this early 80s vibe with his dark and deftly crafted remix. Adding diversity to the sound of the EP, Mr BC is joined by Lloyd Longchamp to create a smooth summer vibe with warm psychedelic overtones in the blissful track Evil Presidents. Within the same laid-back vibe Mr BC rounds out the EP with sweet electronic melodies in his solo work Hurts (But It's Worth It).

Here in Calypso we are big fans of Mytron & Ofofo. Their track Something for the mind was one of our favourite tracks a couple of years ago. So when Mytron came to us saying that he took it upon himself to re-work some of our Take Aways we were more than delighted and didn't hesitated to ask him if he will like to release them with us. 
So here they are, Peru's Aristidez and Brazil's Celestino get the Mytron threatment to take their tracks even to newer heights. The result is funky and dirty as you would expect from the man.

Stijn Sadée is becoming somewhat of a XXX regular. Having previously released on Bordello A Parigi and Kitjen, the Dutch DJ, producer and live performer graces the SHMLSS run record label once again with his open-minded approach towards acid-driven heavy hitters, tropically-tinged atmospherics and avant-garde house stylistics. Next to the four originals, Lithuanian tastemaker Manfredas supplies a stellar remix. After witnessing Sadée perform live at a festival in Amsterdam, the two connected and the idea of a remix was born. The record comes with an artwork collaboration between Stijn and his brother Thomas Sadée.

Label boss Aimes returns to his home base with a double track ep of chugging acid-tinged left-field techno. Both tracks implore multi-dimensional existiliast lyrics combined with cosmic leaning production.  
 A1 is the title track of course, describing an out of this world existential experience. The track is bouncy, fun, and slightly odd, but certainly danceable. 
 On A2 (which is offered up only on vinyl), Aimes takes the original song and turns it into a club-ready slow-burning stomper with a full on repetitious acidic bassline fit for any sleazy techno set.  
 The remix on A3 comes courtesy of Sean Johnston aka Hardway Bros (member of A Love from Outer Space with Andrew Weatherall) who turns the original into a dark and brooding version with a punchy bassline and cosmic synths.  
 Aimes’ second original on the EP, We Are Eternal, is a massive slowed down acid burner that reiterates the eternalness of humanity. Incredibly psychedelic in nature, the pulsing bass and bubbling acid line is prime for a dark and sweaty rave.  
 B2 comes courtesy of Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara who submits a cosmic, dubbed out flip of the original, taking the listener on an extended spatial journey. 
 On B3 Japanese producer Que Sakamoto and his production partner NT ramp up the bpms for a dark disco rendition of the original.

Shining up there amidst the cosmos, deep in outer space, was a little beacon of hope. It flickered faintly but it was there, a star... in the sky a million miles away. It offered hope and promise, gave the people down on earth something to put their faith in amidst uncertain times. Under the cloak of darkness, he watched with hope. He smoked his cigarette, let out a deep rooted sigh and began to tread the long path home. It would be a while before he was next back here, alone. 

Wonder Stories are set to release a new EP from Aimes packed with a stellar assortment of remixes. Hardway Bros is the production moniker of Sean Johnston, boy does he deliver.
