Scannoir & Sneaker, aka “GOTT”, explore, transform and mutate. This unique collaboration embodies the perfect symbiosis of passion. “Die Deutsch-Schweizerische Freundschaft” is still profound and continues to have an effect. Now the two exceptional artists present their latest work: GOTT – MUTATIO on the Zurich based label Mattoni Pazzi.

“Alles wird gut” was the motto of the occupied Wohlgroth-Areal in Zurich in 1993, where Sonic Violence was invited to the concert of their “Transfixion” album tour. Industrial beats, dark samples, guitar riffs and moshing punks dominated the scene. At the ticket booth there were CDs to take away: “Sonic Violence – Transfixion”!

A template that now, 30 years later, adorns this memory with the selected track “Malice” in a new guise. GOTT mutates the original into a dark hell ride.

Enter the realm of the Fields of the Nephilim! The guardian waits, a lifetime. Profound and melancholic, he is transformed by GOTT. Dark souls remain dark souls. Daringly and nevertheless tradition-consciously they march through the black terrain. Interwoven by GOTT, guarded by GOTT. Well – GOTT is the guard! The port welcomed boats and ships from all over the world, a meeting place for people to share tales of their intrepid journeys. There was much hustle and bustle as the nomadic groups stepped on to solid ground and greeted one another. Joyous cries rang around the port, it had been months, years even since these travellers had seen one another. After a few days they would part ways and take their travels to a new corner of the world, but they would always return. This place was their home from home.



Moscow-based label ИДА are set to release the 10th record on their imprint, this time from Saint-Petersburg producer Bogdan who makes up one half of Soft Metal. The four original tracks display his love of breakbeat, acid and percussion, with signature remixes from Vilnius producer Miskotom and label heads Uninc & Kolomensky.

Nobody believed them; not the papers, not the locals, not even their closest family. Around these sparsely populated part every manner of tall tale had circulated, particularly those that involved extra terrestrial sightings. People were no longer superstitious, they preferred to live within their own realities. That is until they saw it with their own eyes... 

Russian electronic music veteran and Fox Trax boss Sickdisco steps up to the plate for the next release on Moscow-based imprint ИДА (Ida). The release features three hypnotic original cuts that blend broken drum rhythms, crisp percussive and warbling acid lines, while on remix duty Craigie Knowes affiliate Eluize offers spaced-out grooves and Ida label bosses Uninc & Kolomensky deliver their own EBM & rave-fuelled take on 'Aliens Eating People'.

When it came to making big decisions, he always sat on the fence. He preferred to play it safe and not upset the apple cart, but sometimes that backfired. Those around him urged him to take risks, to occasionally listen to the devil on his shoulder but politeness always reared its head. 

In September, Inside Out Records welcomed Hivern Discs alumni Steve Pepe to the family for his off kilter LP Vivere in Diagonale. As a follow up to the release the label has enlisted a host of producers to put their own spin on several of the tracks off the release, bringing their own unique textures and flavours to the table. Reinterpretations come via label mates Stevie R and Parisinos, Salon des Amateurs mainstay Tolouse low Trax, Ninja Tune producer Lamusa II, Huntleys + Palmers affiliate nICo and Macadam Mambo & fellow Hivern Discs collaborator Eva Geist who delivers an acoustic, nostalgic rework of 'Il Diavolo'.
