Tropical Animals Records returns after Nick Anthony Simoncino's latest release, with a new Italian upcomer. Andrea Comparin aka Munstac signs the most experimental ep of the entire catalog of the label. His work entitled Glicine opens with "Intro" a track with an Organic breath that intertwines with an electronic texture made of elements that color the whole song, "Laghetto Italia 61" is a dry and broken loop, with a groove that keeps you glued over time.
The Ep continues with “Distante 900,000 km”, a true and proper ballad of the future, profound and hypnotic. "Intro Glicine" is an interesting starting point for "Glicine" the song that gives its name to the entire ep. Incredibly sweet and heavenly, it directly reaches your heart. The pads and harmonies chase each other like two lovers, in an intricate and impervious rhythmic labyrinth at the beat of nature.
To close this incredible ep we have 2 remixes, one by the young Milanese ACIDGIGI that evokes the ethereal sounds of wisteria with powerful rhythmic parts and violent acid baseline. The other by the well-known Fabrizio Mammarella, who takes us 900,000km away into a futuristic world, where he expertly mixes all the sounds creating a solid and perfect remix for the dancefloor and beyond.

LATIDO records has its origin in the Mordisco Club parties (Granada, South of Spain) hosted by Cobertizo (part of dj duo and producers Mordisco with releases in Atomnation, My Favorite Robots Records, Duro, Bedrocks, etc.). Artists such as John Talabot, Curses, Sascha Funke, Zombies in Miami, Red Axes or Jennifer Cardini among others have played at Mordisco Club. The Latido label is born from the characteristic sounds and influences of Mordisco Club

LATIDO celebrates its first anniversary with a compilation full of singularities. 16 tracks gathered in two volumes where the distinctive feature is the presence of multiple ingredients that are provided by the included artists.

After a successful volume 1, with volume 2 LATIDO culminates the celebration of its first anniversary in an unbeatable way. Some of the included artists are already part of the LATIDO family, having released music on the label during its first year of life (Agle, Eliezer, Ivan De la Rouch, JackWasFaster and Tiempo de Maldad). Other artists join LATIDO for the first time, offering their own particular point of view on electronic dance music (Andrea Tempo, Azaria, Disco Mortale and Julian Stetter).

Once again, very varied musical ingredients can be relished, and where lovers of sound cocktails that include techno, new wave, disco, EBM and house will enjoy it tremendously. Here the premiere of "No emotion, No devotion", a hit track from Italian artist Andrea Tempo.

Paisley Dark Records are buzzing to annouce the labels fifth release proper, Norra Linjen, a haunting primetime techno bomb by "The Machine Soul" aka Robert Folkesson. This follows previous releases by Dan Wainwraight, From Beyond, UFO Club and the 10” vinyl EP from Matt Gunn. 
Norra Linjen (Northern Lights) is accompanied by two electrifying remixes. The first being from Man2.0 (Nein Records) who delivers an old school techno vibe whislt sounding like the future has arrived early. 
The second remix, the aptly named “Rave Remake mix, courtesy of When Disco Goes Wrong’s head honcho Mindbender, sees chilling synth riffs gliding effortlessly over bubbling 303 acid lines.

PREMIERE : The Machine Soul - Norra Linjen (Mindbender Rave Remake)

Pre-rave jitters had set in; her stomach was doing somersaults and her legs felt like jelly. These feelings were fuelled by excitement and anticipation, but she still had no idea what to expect of the evening, it was all completely new to her. Friends had told her about the wonders of these underground parties but she really had to see it for herself, at the moment it felt like an imaginary utopia, a place too perfect to actually exist...

Swedish producers Viktor and Henrik are the minds behind Elfenberg. Having released music on the likes of Bordello A Parigi, Wrong Era, Trampoliner and Rotten City Records, to name a few, the pair now take their creations to Barcelona's Playground Records for A Cow Called Belle. Harking back to the rave and acid house sounds of the early 90s, the three original cuts marry rolling grooves and squelchy, driving synth lines, which are pushed further into trance-inducing territory by Iñigo Vontier and Juan MacLean who take care of the remixes.

The interesting U’re Guay Records brings to life its Vol. 39 presenting Addi de la Cruz aka Umvral (FREEDL018/046), owner of the dangerous and lethal Mexican label Veneno. Hailing from Mexico City, Umvral has been steadily developing quite a solid work as A&R, DJ, and producer, having achieved both local and international recognition not only because of his undeniable talent but also charisma and competence. His works have already appeared on some of the most respected imprints of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene such as Bonkers, Controlla, Logia, Emerald & Doreen, Quixotical, and his very own Veneno, for instance.

For his debut on the Montevideo-based platform, Addi decided to explore his Trance and Techno influences delivering two fat & smelly peak-time originals. On the remixes duties, Aleito, Cu Da Curuxa, and Parallel (SXDNS319) brought their own traits to the party.

Premiered here, “Viva La Trance” is definitely that kind of track that is devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor. Its acid and frenzied atmosphere is mainly established by throbbing and nervous synth layers topped with bleepy and playful laser-like sound effects. Yes, the 134-BPM pace helps a lot to set the mood!

Following on from Tu Sei Pazza, Daniel Monaco returns to the Bordello with the bitter taste of the TB303 on his tongue. Acid Maria smoulders with the intensity of a Belgian new beat banger circa 1989. Smoky words whisper over rusted rhythms before the fog and strobe take hold. Cold strings haunt with snaking coils of 303 squawk growing ever bolder in this intense track. The flip is divided into two very different remixes. First up is Curses who approaches the piece in his own unique way. The fanfare and frigid lines of the original are expanded. Strings come care of guitars as a bright synth wave reimaging unfolds, a reimaging with one of the most daring breaks you are likely to ever hear. Younger Than Me close. This interpretation adds a fevered tone to the original. BPMs rise and pitches are pushed while chilly notes soon balloon into a frenzy to bring a full floor energy. HF: How did you discover this track?
FM: I was doing research over the lockdown, I was looking for proto techno releases from '88 to '91 and I've found this track on discogs.
It's a german production from '88 released on the amazing ZYX records. 

HF: Can you tell us more about the rework?
FM: The original track contains the famous speech by Martin Luther King "I have a dream" but I've decided to cut it and give more space to the instrumental parts and extend the acid elements. I think it's more effective on the dancefloor now.
