There were some landscapes that simply took your breath away; the kind that made you feel like a tiny speck on this thing we call planet earth. The canyon below was a sight to behold, its huge stone surfaces coated in tones of copper and green. If you squinted hard enough you could trace clusters of tiny humans exploring the winding paths, tunnels and bridges that littered the expanse. It felt somewhat magical or metaphysical; a natural wonder of the world...

It's been almost a decade since Italian producers Rodion and Fabrizio Mammarella teamed up for a collaborative EP on the latter's Slow Motion imprint. Like their first outing, Apennini, back in 2012 this new release proves yet again why these two are a perfect production pairing, fusing their shared love of synthesized melodies and machine-driven funk and disco. The duo continue this across their Sierra Madre EP, which was recorded in Mexico City with a guest appearance from Roam Records and Duro alumni Mijo, and backed by a rework from Italo-Belgian duo Front De Cadeaux.

The roads were closed at every turn, there was no way out of this god forsaken place. Huge barricades blocked off each street, even the alley ways had been shut off with makeshift blockades. They'd gone round in circles for hours and hours trying to make their escape; for now they'd managed to give whoever was trailing them the slip, but they couldn't guarantee they wouldn't be found again.

After five successful stints, Mexico's Duro return for instalment number six of their flagship VA series 'Muy Duro'. As always they welcome a collection of artists who have a synergy with the label and its mission; both old faces and new. This time round they feature contributions from ID_UA & Berny, Hard Fist co-founder Cornelius Doctor, Alvaro Cabana, Colossio and Le Dame Noir's Arthur Johnson, who bring their signature sonic touches with sounds ranging from dark disco to broken beats and synth-driven electronics.

‘Muy Duro’ flagship V/A series returns this year with his volumen 6, music from new and old souls around the world. Le Dame Noir’s Arthur Johnson give you the entrance ticket with "31SPCIAL", a locomotive ride loaded with a bouncy bass, steady percussions and sharp cymbals that drive you to the peak. It is followed by Cornelius Doctor’s "Zsa Zsa Can't Don't Cry", a metallic and playful percussion with a mix of unhinged and liberating synthesizers.

Changing the semblance are ID_UA & Berny with "Tutta La Notte", a broken beat cut. Its hypnotizing synths will make you descend into the deepest and sweltering of the night, the point where you never want to see the sunlight again. Colossio's "Regios", is the perfect soundtrack to transport you to the multidimensional plane where you don't know if there will be a return accompanied by wild and nutty gnomes or your entrance to the psychiatric. Guitar and synthesizer riffs that when entering the center of your head hypnotize you, distorting your neurons and reality.

To close the compilation is Alvaro Cabana’s "Adventures Under The Dome", ironically inspired by all the theories that circulate today about the "dome" that covers the flat earth. A mix of sounds that could be defined as Robot Disco and Trippy Bleepy Fun, alluding to the fact that no matter if the earth is round, square or an infinite multidimensional plane, we could choose to go through this life with the intention of not stopping to have adventures and positive experiences.

Latido records has its origin in the famous Mordisco Club parties (Granada, South of Spain) hosted by the dj duo and producers Mordisco (Atomnation, My Favorite Robots Records, Duro, Bedrocks, etc.). Artists such as Curses, Sascha Funke, Zombies in Miami, Red Axes or Jennifer Cardini among others have played at these parties. The Latido label is born from the characteristic sounds and influences of Mordisco Club.

With “Late Night Tortures” Latido welcomes the Italian producer Tulioxi with a pair of fantastic remixes courtesy of Roe Deers and Durand, who bring us their take on the Tulioxi's new Ep; a groovy and dark fusion of genres that fits perfectly in any kind of club or festival.
Tulioxi delivers three irresistible tracks that kick off nicely with 80s vibes. He moves effortlessly through cosmic melodies with a feeling of linear and minimal aesthetic reminiscent of italo, while the electric chords sit over percussive bases. A fantastic Ep with retro-futuristic tones.

As for the remixes, the second remix comes courtesy of the South of Spain based Durand, artist connected to electronic music from a very young age, developing an extensive career as a dj and club promoter and owner before starting to produce his own music only a couple of years ago. In this time he has already released excellent eps on Factor City, Nein Records, and one on Esthetique, played by the likes of The Hacker, Ivan Smagghe or Curses. In his remix for Tulioxi, Durand keeps the energetic vibes of the original alive with a pulsing bassline, sharp synths and overwhelming fx.

With "Late Night Tortures", Tulioxi manage to convey a message of musical relevance for a dystopian future where dancing will be a way of giving meaning to our lives. Not to be missed.

Heil from North Macedonia! we present two experienced artists Andreja Salpe X Veselinov with the special EP they baked - "Egypt Disko".

Two original techno vibe tracks and two remixes from the unique Blavatsky & Tolley, and Velax.

The release starts with the title track "Egypt Disko". It does start off as a straight forward techno track with only one destination in mind, even though it's not entirely techno per say, first impressions might often be misleading. Therefore, this to be one of those stand-off tracks between very well-known iconic characters. But the essence of the track takes you to the night and that night takes you on a journey to outer space, puts you in a trance. It doesn't always keep you in this state, it has a tendency to pull you in and then push you out. Have to mention that the name of this tune is not random and you can feel that throughout the whole track/EP. In this case, the sounds defined the name of this track (and the whole EP), not the other way around, even though sometimes the title comes first.

The second original piece of work is "Proggy Disko". At the beginning, it sounds like pure 2000's. And that's great, what was forgotten must be brought back to life. In a present-day and time, we often look for something new, something fresh, but we constantly forget where we came from.
Down to the track, it's more stubborn than the title one. The tension is building up till the end of the track and then and only then it gives you some sort of a peace offering. Sharp modulated synths, simple but solid bass part, and tension in the whole track. Absolutely banger of the dance floor.

Remix by Blavatsky & Tolley keeps the tone of the original track pretty well and it doesn't stray away too far from the main focus of the song. This interpretation is more complex in a way, it has a clear structure. Like all the elements are exactly where they need to be and the addition of the speech is just spot on, so as the other elements that are not present in the original version.

Velax remix of "Proggy Disco" - sharp edges, these are the first words that came out of the mouth. Velax gave this track a boost. When we say boost, we mean - anger.
Naturally followed by darkness. If this was a person, you could say that his/her character shifted overnight, he or she is like a different person. Perfect dark disco work for lovers of darkness.

Team AEON is thrilled to announce the 5th edition of the Lost Tapes series where music of family members and newbies come together in one release.
The compilation will be released in 2 parts. As a subscriber and family member, you’ll get the full VA compilation including all 13 tracks in advance, exclusively!

Part 1:
We kick off the first part with a special: Italian artist Fabrizio Mammarella (one half of Black Spuma - with Lauer), who’s also well known for his skills as a remixer, releases his first solo track „Compumemory“ on AEON.
The young gun from Italy Amarcord is a true AEON family member now. His previous contributions are followed up with a punchy weapon called, „Momentum“.
We are also happy to welcome back our mysterious producer Futuristant with a nostalgic track in style and meaning „Before I miss you“. And Omri Smader with his hypnotic Italo club track „Seger Peger“, who’s latest releases on Blue Shadow & Correspondant caught a lot of attention.
These two are followed by contributions from two debutants. Berlin’s Parla (‘Permanent Vacation’), who’s bringing the early morning/afterhour burner „A World in Purple“ and Felkon from Germany with the clubby Italo shaker „Lytis“.
Last but not least, Silicodisco returns to AEON with a collaboration with DPAZ and created the retro, melodic, dark Italo dance track „Hellish Night“. A track that characterizes the both of them and the perfect track to welcome you to the second part of the Lost Tapes Vol. 5.

Part 2:
Following up on his successfull releases on Gerd Janson’s ‘Running Back’ and his latest EP on DJ Tennis’s label ‘Life & Death’, Alan Dixon kicks off part two with „Space Manoeuvres“.
AEON newbie Alex Virgo brings the Spring vibes with the happy track „Clown Car“.
After Machinegewehr’s well received „Nutant EP“ (AEON054), the Rotterdammer returns with another trippy Italo monster „Call the shots“.
Having already done a remix for „Serpentine“ by Darlyn Vlys, Micropacer is not new to the camp anymore. And we are happy to have him on board with his first solo track „The Magic Number“ on AEON.
Musumeci doesn’t need an introduction anymore. The Italian made his way in the industry with several hit remixes and solo productions on his own imprint „Multinotes“ (with Lehar) or „Permanent Vacation“, after being one of the first remixers on AEON almost a decade ago. His collaboration with Aldebaran on „Escamotage“ will stay in your ears for a while.
Hailing from Jakarta the 4th newbie Past Futura closes this 13 tracker VA with his „Viva La Discoteque“, which we couldn’t think of a better closing title in these difficult times.
