Inner Theft is proud to present Inner Thieves Vol. 2: An eclectic mix of works from artists we love. The release contains six unique tracks covering a wide palette of boundary-pushing contemporary electronic music from Australia and beyond, all linked by underlying tense and gripping textures.

Loïcc - Amphidromic Point

During the winter period of 2022, Arnaud is Dancing composed 3 tracks which has culminated in Plasma Mission, transcribing the emotionally charged and turbulent experience that is post covid clubs. Inspired by a night out in a Local Nantes Club Macadam, where time seems to simply evaporate, these tracks fuse feelings of nostalgia coupled with zealous energy.

Between heavily programmed basslines and discrete acid leads, Arnaud's 3 tracks are impassioned, zesty & bouncy, morphing into ecstatic and fiery d-floor bangers.

To round out the EP, we are rapt to have Melbourne/Naarm based Homelander contribute a dark psy-infused twist on Arnaud's 'Signal Racer' & an upbeat modern trance take on Arnaud's title track 'Plasma Mission' remixed by UK based Shawn Cartier & Comic Book Guy.

A rhythm created during a common dream, a journey repeated by the rolling of the snare drums, voices bewitched by a humid path, its synthesizers are the only reason of this crystalline mist. It's time to open your eyes, this first side is full of movements ready to hypnotise and energise a dancefloor waiting for these sonic gems.

We must spin the record to find a blood coming from Kingston, however it is the Pilat that will give the rhythm of these green wizards. Their colours, of which this land alone knows the secret, blow a groove may be born from an AKAI MPC10003 caught in the Vieux Port. Its 3 pads and 2 missing buttons will deconstruct your mind.

Amulets curates a selection of forward-thinking electronic producers from around the world, weaving a sonic tapestry of intricate textures, hypnotic rhythms, and spectral melodies. Each piece serves as a talisman—charged with motion, memory, and transformation—offering glimpses into distinct yet interconnected soundscapes.

Dubbed-out echoes dissolve into weightless ambience, while fractal percussion patterns fold into polyrhythmic momentum. Pulsing low-end frequencies tether celestial synth work, evoking a liminal space between the organic and the artificial, the subconscious and the ecstatic.

Across its 10 tracks, the compilation unfolds with shifting tempos and oscillating moods, tracing the contours of deep introspection and kinetic urgency. Amulets is an invocation—a ritual of sound, wrapped in mystery, waiting to be unlocked.

This project spreads across different soundscapes exploring and building new  vibratory paths that helps us navigate through a vast web of interconnected frequencies and rhythms, creating unique and intimate spaces for dancers to take part in a sonic experience in a way that can most directly connect the body, the mind and the soul to the main source as it transforms land forms into celestial beings.

It has been a very long way since the beginning of this piece but I am very happy to have it finally released! Always thankful for all the trust and understanding from all the artists involved and every who has been supporting, lovers and protectors of this journey on the alluring coherence between sound and creation.

Midheaven Records launches in 2021 with 'Force Majeure', the debut EP of Sydney/Eora-based amuwa (@a-m-u-w-a), aka 25-year-old Joshua Deering. Born and raised in the urban sprawl of Sydney CBD, Deering now brings 10 years of musical development to a head, where design and feel seamlessly enmesh. The EP draws from formative experiences immersed in the sounds of city noise, industrial zones, natural amphitheatres, and packed dance-floors. Familiar strains of electro, trance and bass music shift and meld into new, hybrid forms, driven by a synthetic-organic logic. Roiling subs and propulsive drums are engineered for impact, couched within mutating synth arrays. Untraceable oddities click, whirr and hum around the stereo field—subtle changes reward repeat, deep listening. Over four tracks, amuwa re-centres the whole body as listening technology—pursuing a trance-state that is grounded in the dance, not just for the head(s). This is a formidable debut.
