Born and raised in Detroit but now residing in London, Demi Riquísimo is building a dedicated following and catching the eye of many big-name tastemakers. His distinctive sound, an eclectic beast of acid, disco and italo influence, has gained him wide acclaim across several releases on his own Semi Delicious label.

Divine Reality EP is Riquísimo’s first outing with Shall Not Fade, on the established Lost Palms series. It’s a headsy affair, opening up with the title track and its driving beat, which pairs well with the blissed out and glimmering pads. You can feel the disco influence on ‘Local Chain’, all subtle strings and pops of guitar over the muted house rhythm that gets feet moving. High-octane B1  ‘This is The Limit’ is an acid roller with clever use of diva vocal samples, maximalist and infectious. The EP closes on ‘Green Machine’, a percussive track that lifts from sound palettes of the 1980s in dramatic and melancholic synth melodies that are completely danceable - a climactic number with instant appeal.

Oscillating between original Techno from Detroit and European sounds, Marc Vain's music is rather unique.
He was warmly welcomed by many artists such as Fabrice Lig, Terrence Parker, Wyndell Long, Sean Deason or Colin Dale.
Played by renowned DJs such as John Digweed, Nick Warren or Anja Schneider, Marc Vain has signed several EPs and remixes on Sub Label, Minimalsoul, Frequenza as well as the track "Samuraï" released on R&S.
I Believe EP is a dreamlike melodies mingle with deep basses for an invitation to sound travel.

Athlete Whippet returns to Toy Tonics with an EP showcasing emotionally layered dance tracks and their refusal to stick to genre conventions. The duo are synonymous with sublime cuts that are just as suited to late nights and early mornings on the dancefloor, as they are to home-listening, this perfectly exhibited on the ‘Nogueira’ EP. 

The four-tracker is named after a remote place in the mountains around Rio de Janeiro where it was made on a creatively fruitful getaway in 2021. It's sentimental, joyful, bouncy, and futuristic, and showcases the duo’s musicality combining bass guitar and piano, with hardware synths, loops and fragmented vocal samples. 

Robin explains - “Spending time in Brazil in recent years was a blessing. The nature, culture and musical heritage over there is beautiful. Mostly in solitude, as I ended up spending most of our time in a remote place in the mountains around Rio, music became the only real emotional outlet for a while . So in a way this is a record of dance music created as far away as we’ve ever been from the dance floor!”

Both from a live performance background, Berlin natives Robin and Avi met studying at Goldsmiths London and found their way to the dance floor via playing in bands, Robin a guitarist, Avi classically trained in trumpet and later on picking up the keys. Absorbing the community of South London, they eventually set up artist collective and record label Squareglass - a proudly established home for new artists coming out of the area. They’ve remixed for the likes of Rhythm Section, collaborated with Olugbenga, and their releases have come with reworks from Ross from Friends, Cameo Blush, Baltra and Seb Wildblood. In 2021, their hybrid sound found a new home with tastemaker German label Toy Tonics who released their ‘Vesta’ EP in May, followed by a run of European tour dates including Funkhaus Berlin, Phonox London and Amsterdam Dance Event.

Forget about the Soul Train when Azo's Love Bus hits the electronic music road. Kicking off Biologic Records' 2022, Brussel-based artist Azo delivers her musical approach to Space Tourism launching four rockets for the dance floor consisting out of three original tracks and a remix from Steffi for the EP's title track. However, it's the B2, namely The Love Bus, that not only rounds Azo's EP off but due to its Acid-line, love-spreading synths in addition to a heavy bass line takes the listener to weightlessly spheres one can dive into letting mind, body and soul wander easily through it until The Love Bus-spaceship lets one come in smoothly. 

Azo's Space Tourism EP will be released on Biologic Records on February 11th, 2022.

Type-303’s breakthrough The New Ravelution EP (released at the end of 2018) was a sonic slap around the chops, throwing a cavalcade of 90’s hardcore & rave samples into the mix, along with a healthy dash of unrelenting Acid. All four slabs of warehouse business were absolutely ripe for the remixing.

This is exactly what lads Timothy Clerkin & The Ransom Note from Insult To Injury felt when the Amsterdam-based imprint came out with the record last year. Fortunately, the label heads have decided to act on this hunch and have chosen to follow up that release with a jam-packed remix EP that features new versions from Thomas Banks, Shun, and Timothy Clerkin himself. However, this all-out Acid affair would not be complete without the one and only Gnork, the Hungarian wizard who has a strong love for chords and bouncy beats.

Today, we are sharing Gnork's take on Type-303's Thousand Pieces. Finding inspiration in 80’s Electro, Gnork manages to fuse the original with modern elements of unadulterated Acid House that leave it almost unrecognizable. Although this remix does not have as many moving parts as Type-303's version, Gnork is able to do less with more and still pack quite the punch. Listeners be warned, this chune will have you furiously robot-dancing around the room in no time!

For ØEN Records 13th release, "En Anden" steps up with his debut EP release. En Anden is the output of the Copenhagen based DJ, Lazer (@lazert). Wanting to express a simplistic and naive sound, he has taken inspiration from Italo Disco's quirky synthesizer themes and 90's house tight drum and stripped-down productions. With the EP "Ting", En Anden perfects the subtle art of making tracks, where everything stand still, but is still evolving with small waves, connotations and intermissions. The EP is rounded off with a remix by local talent DJ Popup (@why_u_poppin) and released digitally with a limited edition poster made by TLS

This is our contribution to the Shelter Me Beats for Beds Remix album set to be released exclusively on Bandcamp this Friday 5th March.

This album, a child of the Shelter Me Festival in December 2020, is in aid of Shelter UK and the wonderful work they do to helping people with homelessness or difficult housing conditions.

The festival took place over 3 days, across the 3 cities of Manchester, London and Leeds, and several of the artists who performed live at the event have contributed to this production too.

The track used for the project is entitled Shake Up Your Mind by Steady State which contains a vocal sample of* Ofra Haza* from her song entitled *Im Nin Alu. 

All remixes were created with the greatest love and respect, with one common goal, to help others less fortunate than ourselves through music, unity and genuine will to make a positive change.

Each and every one of the artists, producers and mastering services have generously given their time freely to create a unique album of 21 remixes, spanning a colourful musical spectrum from dense dark dubbiness, through timeless techno and uplifting acid, to squelchy squalid chuggers.

This is a limited release set for 05.03.21 with all proceeds going the Shelter UK.
