The title track 'Mary's MVP' revisits a classic break to establish the AOA sound with its heavy subs and smoked out dub elements.

'Mez's Oliphaunt' takes traditional textures and welds them into 2021 through a tumbling cascade of fast paced electro rhythms.

And finally 'How High Is The Sky?' is the result of several late night sessions in the legendary Rhythm Section studio - expect hammering 909's + chaotic squelching wonk straight out of the Wardolf Pulse 2.

The 9th release on Lisbon's dance agitators Rave Tuga is on the way: an EP, available on tape and digital by local mainstay DIOGO, who's been loyally serving the dancefloors of Lisbon in the past few years via his sick DJing and productions. Recruits for the remixer role are other two legends of our scene: genius clubkid Ecstasya and spot-on dance composer Moreno Ácido.

Acid and jacking flavours gladly meet again, with an added ray of local sunshine, on the opener 'Paz d'Alma'. The skillfully programmed 303 lines keep going throughout the album, on the A3 accompanied by a sick electro groove and emotional pads and some bleepy chill-packed vibes on the A4.

The B side switches gears into techno territory, with steady hi hats guiding the groove; relentlessness pervading on 'Brick & Mortar'. Ecstasya steps in to remix the title track with a dramatic take chock-full of hyperpop stabs, sentimental chipmunk vocals and re-constructed clubby beats, the Lisbon way. Moreno Ácido takes the scenic route with dubbed out harmonies and warm, blissed-out beats and bass.

For this 142nd Premiere of 2022, we have a track by "REKAB" titled ‘In Search Of The Deep Sea Dweller’ from his forthcoming EP "Back in Flight" on the Belgian label : Nightflight Records.

ReKab aka James Baker from the UK started Djing in the early 90’s. Later on he started playing around with music. Finally the ReKab sound was established in 2019 with his first release on Where We Met records. Other releases followed soon on Móatún, Withhold, Intellitronic Bubble, We’re Going Deep and Fourier Transform.
His music is very deep and full of emotions and influenced by his love for Detroit.

The EP will be available from June 15, 2022 on Vinyl on all good record shops & on digital exclusively on Bandcamp.

Four killer tracks of high grade electronic soul from James Baker AKA REKAB. A fantastic EP showing both breadth of style and respect for the roots and traditions of the music from this artist.

The first, Locked on Dodge, is a driving deep Detroit techno track with a hypnotic arpeggiated lead and filtered atmospherics to lose yourself inside. Don’t get too comfortable though, it’s capped with a surprise electro switch in the breakdown to keep the floor on their toes!

The second track, We Need to Care, delivers a cool clear synth sound design over Chicago influenced house tempo beats and lush pads. Simultaneously groovy and comforting, this is a track for those special moments. Jacking with your eyes closed and a big grin on your face.

Third we have a clear tribute to Drexciya with In Search of the Deep Sea Dweller. Tough 808 beats and laser zaps punch through a bed of evocative strings whilst a filtered single note loop rises and falls like the tide. An abstract robotic voice presides over the track, adding atmosphere whilst giving it a sense of mysterious machine driven intelligence.

Lastly, Too Much Time gets its space boogie on. Electro funk beats jump round staccato synth chords and a simple but effective Moog-like bass line. Once the scene is set, a writhing 303 joins the proceedings accompanied soaring pads and beautiful melodic leads that make you feel like you’re being lifted into the cosmos.

Manami is set to release her debut full length EP on Viscera Transmissions, the record label offshoot of the prominent dance and electronic music focussed magazine. The EP features a collection of tracks inspired by early trance and 90’s house – the result is effortlessly progressive and spaced out. This one is a track called ‘Overture 1’ and it features atmospheric pads, acid stabs and euphoric sequencing which will lend itself to the later hours.

The night was balmy; the kind that made your hair stick to your forehead and your palms sweaty. It called for nights sat by the river or lazing in the park, constantly following the sun until the last sliver of day light melted away beyond the horizon. If only every day could be like this. As soon as summer appeared it seemed to slip away again, as if it were teasing you... or warning you...

Yet more heat coming from the R.A.N.D Muzik Recordings camp - this time courtesy of Gnork. The Hungarian producer makes his debut on the Leipzig-based label with a batch of cosmic, spaced out house and breaks. Known for previous releases on the likes of Magicwire, Church, Unknown To The Unknown and Earth Plates, Gnork's dreamy blend of twinkling melodies, lush pads and warm shuffling beats are on display yet again across the EP's five tracks.

The unstoppable DMX Krew returns for his third full EP on the label, as classy as ever and packed with different flavours.

The A side opens with the wigged out, intense techno assault of 'Spasm', clearing the path for the tortured alien beauty of electro track 'Second Moon'.

Over on the flip, DMX revisits 'The Wiggly Worm', giving it some DMX Acid with a sardonic stomp for the dancefloor and the EP closes with a nod to Detroit with 'It Isn't What It Was' .

I love discovering good music. making music costs a lot of time, a lot of energy and a lot of money.  if possible i buy the vinyl i like . in any case, an artist is happy about support and comments that really honor his work. that's why i leave something more than just a listless "wow" or similar mini comments , because the artist takes so much time to please us with his ideas !!!
