Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Hoshina Anniversary has previously appeared on ESP Institute, Musar Recordings, and Young Marco’s Safe Trip, fusing traditional Japanese instrumentation with House & Techno sensibilities across his productions. Arriving now on Brooklyn’s toucan sounds label under his Shifting Gears moniker, the DJ/producer turns in two Jazz and Hard Bop inspired club-not-club tracks on ‘Drum Nation’.
Leading the release, title cut ‘Drum Nation’ sees loose drums and jazz scales meet crunchy production, delivering a deeply musical and punchy house track. ‘Average Hoshina Sounds’ sees more delightfully lo-fi production as wonky stabs and glistening pads culminate in an energetic mid-point build-up, making for a high energy dancefloor-focussed accompaniment to the title track.

„You can't say Shuray without saying Walle. As one of Leipzig's DJ teams of the moment, they play by merging into a synergistic unit with four arms, four ears, and two hearts. Their first joint release "International Licence" on Filburt's label O*RS sounds accordingly pleasantly balanced and mature. The two Distillery residents focus on a music genre that has unfortunately and unjustly received less attention lately: Deep House. The three original tracks are universally applicable due to their stripped-down, Detroit-inspired timeless sound. From the most underrated slot of the DJ craft, the warm-up, to the early morning hours: The 909's spellbinding, pumping force will do its job. On the remix duties is highly talented Lea Lisa from the Wolf Music fame. For her 303 Mental Remix she adds an irresistible acid bassline (quelle surprise) and creates probably the most peak time-affine tune of the whole EP. Shuray & Walles first extended player is a perfect example for reduced but clever arrangements and above all for the fact that the best ship is friendship.“

After a long-string of refreshingly uplifting releases from the likes of Don Corco, Higher and Shocking Smile, Tensnake continues to broaden smiles across increasingly de-shackled dance-floors with another stellar single - this time courtesy of the omni-loved and ever present; Ben Gomori.Ben's always had a knack for nifty edits, grin-worthy sets and solid, effective production which has always remained underpinned by a relentless work ethic and an amicable character. His latest offering: 'Radical Acceptance' combines everything the industry loves about Ben across 2 separate mixes of one single. The Eurodance mix kicks things off with a chirpy, circling melody which sits atop sturdy drums, a propulsive bass line and trippy vocal cuts. After finding Feel Fly in Perugia, Italy we're very happy to introduce a new name that stems from the region. Andrea Antognoloni aka Sourires makes bopping and popping house music laced with the sparkle of disco. Since an early age and with a dedicated passion for making and playing music on a mostly hardware setup he has been dreamingabout his own time to shine alongside his peers. We're totally smitten by his music and this is surely not the last thing you'll hear from him.
