From a distance the coastline sparkled; the huge windows of the hotels and casinos reflected the sun’s hot rays across the ocean below. People came here from all over the world to escape their lives, to blow off steam and pretend their responsibilities were non-existent for a few days. Here, the normal stresses and pressures dissipated into nothingness.

Amsterdam's Sinchi Collective continue their mission to support indigenous people across the world, whilst bringing together artists exploring the fringes of electronic music. Now in its fourth iteration, the ‘Altered States’ compilation features cuts from Pim Secle & Pelzensers, Dany E, LA Kena, Bulgakov, ILMO and Grand Riviera, spanning breakbeat, techno, synthwave, electro and punk-tinged sonics.

All profits will be donated to the Sinchi Foundation, which raises money for indigenous people.

The plan was set in stone and now the wheels were in motion. This time it had to be foolproof, he couldn't risk being caught again - each time the punishment had been more severe. The promise of freedom kept him going, he'd do whatever he could to escape this place, he should never have been sent here to begin with. That night, as the building fell silent and the lights dimmed to black, he awaited the signal and prayed that this time he would not fail.

It's been 9 years since Playground came into existence and they're commemorating this musical journey with the help of friends and family from across the world. Starting as a party in their original home of Buenos Aires, the crew behind it have grown to become a label platform for international artists who are pushing the boundaries of hypnotic electronic music.

This milestone is being celebrated with a sprawling compilation that features the sounds that represent the past, present and future of the imprint. New and old friends provide the sonics, namely the likes of Curses, Kate Stein, MR TC, Shubostar and Theus Mago, which stretch from downtempo cuts to psychedelic synth excursions, club experiments and much more.

Kulampara is a label formed after the Melbourne based event night Klub Kulampara.
It's the Melbourne outlet of Istanbul’s Berkay Mete: a celebration of transcendental electronic grooves from Anatolia and beyond.

Klub Kulampara brings soul to the Melbourne Indie dance scene by combining traditional sounds and performances with new electronic sounds and visual experiences inspired by the Middle East.

This is the label's first release by Berkay Mete, featuring indie dance artists such as Leonor and Anatolian Weapons. Leonor brings a different perspective to the track by blending in indian vocals, while Anatolian Weapons brings the heat with his Acid Remix.

This 2nd VA gathered by the Reptilian Mmafia (@reptilianbusinessrecords) presents a darker side than the first compilation. You will get to hear some delicate sound design from Paris-based bass addict Machka, some deep and mellow brainfucking downtempo from Swiss duo Los Pashminas, and heavy industrial breaks from our friend Mawen, sound engineer of our first release and talented producer based in Bordeaux. Oceya turns the next page with a psychedelic soulful downtempo track, tingling your agmydala with her distorted vocoded voice, opening the path for Toulouse-based bass music queen Jan Loup and her high detailed and overdriven footworking dubstep. Danniel Dhnl follows with his classic gimmicks of "Tribal Guaracha" straight from México, then Nour Kara also from Toulouse, delivers a dark technoïd yet organic tribute to Iranian women fighting for freedom. To close the deal, Da Iguana & Doko Modo prepared some trancey downtempo rooted in earth but crossing the cosmos, Islyz a heavy drum & bass track with reptile skin-like textures, and our close friend Meo is the goodbye giver, with some forest-infused, muddy yet delicate "popperstep" made with his good old octatrack. This compilation is a powerful source of energy, a medicine for cold blooded people, and thus, had to be called Gator Aid.

The old man continued to read. “What are you reading that is so important?” the magistrate demanded, and looked at the pages of the book. It was full of scribbles and scrawls that were not of any language the magistrate knew of. “Why, it’s just nonsense written in there!” “Nonsense!” the old man said, finally looking up. “You fool. This is the Book of Fortune. It holds all the knowledge of the world — the past, present, and future”. Berkay Mete takes a deep breath and blows all the miracles of this holy world. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can give you a lift to the heavens. Ahau, BIGz and Doga Erbek hold the keys in the gardens of Earthly Delights

Behind the next release on Meant Records are Italian duo Boot & Tax, a relatively new pairing made up of Claudio Brioschi and CristianCroce. Here they serve up three great originals baced with a stellar remix from Alien Alien. Before now, Boot & Tax have released two extremely well received EPs on JD Twitch's Optimo Trax and have also recently had their music licensed to Erol Alkan's Fabric live 77, so the pair are really on the up. Title track 'Brace Brace' is first and is an elastic, analogue workout with gurgling synth lines riding up and down atop steely drums as punky vocals come on at various intervals. Acid and electro, techno and house all get bottled up in the arrangement, which is fresh and just what you would expect of someone backed by JD Twitch. The Alien Alien remix of this one is slow and trudging, purposeful and swampy. Snaking synths, coarse claps and a sense of foreboding pervade this most groovy of slo mo cuts. 'Niente Per Niente' is a dark but balearic feeling bit of chugging disco, with big licks and groaning bass all gliding along at an inviting tempo. Breathy female ad libs add a sense of character to the shadowy drums and ensure this one will set parties like ALFOS on fire. Lastly, 'Balkan Youth' gets much more cosmic with its flipping synths, twinkly melodies and rattling percussive patterns. Ascending ever higher, it takes you on a ride through the cosmos and dumps you out somewhere altogether happier. This is sure to be a breakout release for Boot & Tax who seem right at the heart of the analogue disco revolution.

@HADE from Cologne is a great DJ with a huge knowledge about every kind of music.
He made some Footwork, he made some bass music stuff and he already released some edits.
