Club Rhythms Vol. 2 is a 5 track collaborative E.P inspired by the renewed energy of being out on the dance-floor, a year on from nightclubs reopening after lockdown. With high energy breaks, percussive workouts and weighty subs underpinned by sampling, melody and groove. The tracks explore a range of influences from Middle Eastern Music to Hardcore, Jazz and Dub with a nod to futurism and science fiction. Featuring label co-owner and visual artist D. Topian alongside D.D. Goose, Dyslecta & Seth Goggin.

Bristol-based Draconian Audio honcho and LBM resident Sempra delivers yet another outstanding release to upstart London collective La bonne musique. Since his popular ‘Breakbeats and Heartache’ EP on the label, he’s gone on to release on the legendary Future Classic imprint as well as Coco Bryce’s Myor. Now, he continues his onslaught of jungle and garage-fueled tracks on home soil with the ‘Red Eye’ EP. With strong nods to his previous release on La bonne, the title track kicks things off with moody junglist vocals echoing out over clean drums and a moody, distorted Reese. ‘Right Now’ then switches things up with a garage groove, wobbly bass and more iconic sampling wizardry before ‘I Do’ plunges you right back into the depths of dark and nostalgic breakbeat. ‘Call 4 Me’ closes out the release with pitched-up vocals supplying the EP with some of Sempra’s signature happy hardcore flavour. ‘Red Eye’ is a carefully crafted love letter to UK rave culture showcasing the artist’s beyond impressive versatility and skill.

Gather are back with their first release of 2022; Lightwork by Bristol-born, Manchester-based DaiSu, member of the all female/non-binary collective Not Bad For A Girl.

Cutting her teeth in Manny over the last few years, DaiSu has been featuring on lineups for the likes of El Dorado, Keep Hush, Red Bull and Loose Lips alongside the vibesy parties being organised by her own crew.

With sets ranging from high NRG breaks & electro to garage & bassline, it’s no surprise that her debut solo EP incorporates stylistic elements from across the sonic spectrum. Lightwork and Not Even follow the breakbeat tip with the latter making use of euphoric synths and vocal samples to off-set the darker bassline that gives the track a real strobe light, peak time feel.

First In The Fight leans towards the lighter UKG side of things and to balance out the EP Gather have sourced an exciting dark 2-step remix by the big, bad LMajor. The Club Glow don has taken the original and reconstructed a greezy darkside beat that, just like the vocal sample, will leave you breathless in the dance.

With the range of sounds on Lightwork, this release can be slung into many different flavours of sets, from fist pumping peak hours, to the euphoric after hours and beyond.

Ten Years Lost, the label boss of Infinite Wisdom, has kicked off 2023 with his "Chasing Planes" EP. This 2-tracker is a nostalgic nod to the big room sounds of Bicep and Denis Sulta, but with a modern mystical twist. Alongside the title track's bass driven piano action, the 2nd track 'Kendall's S.O.S.' features a standout vocal performance from London-based singer Kendall Ramsey, elevating the track to new heights.

These tracks, originally created earlier in his career, have been remixed and remastered for 2023 and offer a fresh take on the original concept. Inspired by iconic shows like Twin Peaks and The X-Files. Ten Years Lost sets the tone for the year ahead with this mesmerizing release, available on Infinite Wisdom on March 10th, 2023.

UNOS, a Belgian artist with roots in the Philippines, has long been a part of the Darker Than Wax family, repping the label in Europe and beyond for a number of years through her parties and DJ sets. As she begins to put her unique productions out into the world, we are pleased to give her first release a home on the label.

Borrowing its title from the exuberant Filipino dining tradition - a communal, bare-handed feast among friends and families - UNOS' debut EP Boodle Fight highlights her sincere love for communities forged through club culture. The release was conceptualised during her first Asia tour through Singapore, Bangkok, and Manila in 2019, where the artist became acutely aware of the crucial role that community plays in sustaining a culture. Shortly after these foundational travels, the pandemic threatened the lifeblood of this culture, prompting her to draw on her feelings from the tour to maintain hope. With the release of the EP, UNOS revels in the return of togetherness to club culture after the pandemic - just like a musical boodle fight.

Boodle Fight ties together this celebration of community with a number of other influences and experiences in the artist’s life. First single ‘Angermanagement’ is a ballroom-inspired roller, focusing on contemporary voguing culture’s ability to translate anger into queer empowerment. ‘Powerslide’ is a piano-driven house cut that attempts to capture the energy of a legendary Darker Than Wax block party in Singapore in 2019, while the frenetic pace of ‘Headlock’ evokes imagery of a crowded club scene that the artist sorely missed in 2020. True to the spirit of a Boodle Fight, the bright chords and bouncy rhythms on ‘Flavourtown’ imagine the best aspects of an inclusive space where diversity is celebrated like a buffet. Closing out the record, ‘Loveletter to Summer’ reflects on the tropical warmth of her roots in the Philippines. Boodle Fight manages to pack in quite a few themes and inspirations, while still maintaining a polished consistency from front to back, and announces UNOS as a producer to watch.
