The machinery was piled high inside cardboard boxes which towered high towards the ceiling. The warehouse was a place of militant storage and not somewhere expected to be of any sort of interest to the outside world. At least so he thought... Inside however, there was a playhouse, a fortress of solitude by which nobody else knew of. The palace of Xenon was his big time place of fun and after dark once all the staff had gone he was quite simply left to his own devices. He was the king of the castle. 

Ludwig A.F. Röhrscheid is set to release a new EP on Exo Recordings on the 19th of February next month. A wonderful blend of elegant electronics, blissful pads and tricky rhythms.

Following a succession of techno VA’s throughout the course of last year which included the likes of Jeroen Search, Dj Deep and Psyk among others, Propaganda Moscow launches an electro offshoot entitled ‘Code’.
With all forthcoming 12”s as split EPs (2 artists and 2 tracks for each side), the Russian-based crew hail DJ Overdose & Hadamard for ‘Code One’.

Lobster returns to it's scorched earth roots with a dark, gritty blend of techno-based power traxx from New York staple Heidi Sabertooth.

Tracks scraped from the surface of the NY underground. Proper hardware jams with a raw, scorched edge!

Eyes Are Watching combines punched kicks, squelched synths and pitched-down grunting mosh vox. The mood then lightens a touch for the hypnotic, dusty hardware workout Non Such. Jackin' Chitown vibes peppered with plucked & arp'd synths.

On the flip Makin Cutz is pure can-recorded techno. Overdrive-central in a caged industrial basement. Detuned acid & raw af hammering drum programming. Then for the finishing move, Weeding Through Distortion adds some off-club IDM-tinged sonic flavour to proceedings. Echoes of early Warp (think elements of Autechre live in Wakefield in the early 90's) shot through with some hard US noise processing. A tough, melodic gem.

The Techmaridians were righteous beings, but before the mutation they lived their lives like hordes of others. As land-livers, they were outcasts, overwhelmed and oppressed by the bureaucratic systems that were supposed to protect them. As Techmaridians, they were gifted new strengths and physical abilities that distinguished them from any other known species, it was as if they’d been born again. They might have been turned into bottom-feeders, but they had been united and given a purpose. Their age had been established. 

‘Out Of Water Out Of Time’ comes from the Techmarine Bottom Feeders debut album, Boanerges and the Watery Deep. It’s the third instalment in their saga, as told by Paris The Black Fu and Luxus Varta. The duo use tense yet bubbling electro beats and synths, ominous pads, and haunting vocals, to tell the story of a race of beings that are forced to make the seas their home after genetically modified food mutates their DNA.
