The three tracks for this EP are lovingly crafted using his collection of vintage drum machines, samplers and expansive modular setup, and are presented in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. Opener 'havin it' is quick-stepping, low slung house cut lit up with glistening chords and gorgeous soul samples that shine through next to low-key but euphoric 90s trance progressions. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside while remaining locked to the groove. 'lush' is just that, with summery harp strums shimmering across dusty and speedy deep house drums that sweep you up and fill your heart with hope and joy. It's a richly layered sound with a curiousness that truly enchants. Lastly, 'WNE' straightens your back with upright and snappy drums, woody percussion and frayed edged chords that have a cosy nostalgic glow. Coated in a lo-fi haze, plunging bass and aching vocal fragments pull you in different directions as you hurry to keep up with the frisky groove.

Present-day electronica is filled to the brim with producers that harmonise a plethora of genre stylings and motifs within their sound, and Nando is no exception. His flourishing career thus far has demonstrated a knack for crafting compelling dance trax that feel both fresh and familiar, dynamic yet precise, and always all-encompassing. Drifting proactively within the realms of House, Techno, Disco, and the in-between spaces, Nando perfectly captures that Rave-like spirit within his productions, where limitless positive energy abounds and minds and feet remain in a near-constant flux of joy. Perhaps above all else, it is whilst his music has a considered approach to it, there is a deep undercurrent of delight and fun that spreads throughout a Nando EP, further drawing dancers into his auditory universe.

‘Hit It’ is a testament to his craft and vision, and begins immediately on its journey to drive forward the dance into new spheres of being. The title track has a deep punch to its rhythm section, which provides the basis for the bass wobs and energetic vocal samples to take hold. The synth sweeps that align in the backdrop complete the picture, creating a feverish kinetic energy that is a real marvel. ‘Pow’ starts with a dense polyrhythmic percussive outlay, with the bass not far behind, with the scene set perfectly for the cavernous synths to take hold. Leaning heavily into techno soundscapes, the additional rhythmic features add an enormity to the progression, with joyous surprises found around every corner. ‘Dale Duro!’ lands next, which features another deep set of drums to get things going. This one is pure, peak time killer energy, with the swinging bass and drumming pattern striking right through the dance, with infectious euphoric vocal samples and tactful melodic lines doing the business - you just can’t help moving, no matter where you are.

A7 Edits is back with its second installment from JD Twitch. Following in the fashion of the first record by Stefano Ritteri, Volume 2 offers two edits alongside their sought after original counterparts from Africa Seven favourites' M'Bamina and Tala AM. "Arabica" was the lead track on Tala Andre Marie's 1978 album on Fiesta records. This was the Cameroonian's 5th studio album in a number of years and was already well on his way to cementing himself as part of the Cameroonian hot shots of his time. Proper foot stomping Afro Disco at it's finest really.

The lead track, Don't You Let Go, features the project's centerpiece, DC-based vocalist Kenny Wesley. His agile tenor swoops and dances over a soulful, multi-layered, dubby excursion. An accomplished songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Wesley's career has significant milestones in the jazz, pop, and progressive soul worlds. We're excited for him to step into the dance music lane with us.
We asked DJ Spinna (one of our musical heroes… but isn't he everyone's?) for a Galactic Soul treatment and he delivered inna signature Spinna style, that’ll make you b-line to the dancefloor.  
Caserta took it classic NYC (with a lil UKG) on his Caserta's At Work flip. Let the record work through the build, the gospel-esque break down, and then open up into a piano and vibes solo. Patience is a virtue, especially with a peak time slapper like this.
If there is such a thing as a keyboard battle track, Number One Station is it. It features New Orleans-based synth wizard Daniel Meinecke over a broken afrobeat-inspired track, letting all his axes get busy. Trust us, you don't want to step to him (that's also Daniel you hear on Don't You Let Go).

The overwhelming sensations of physical, social, and emotional detention painted the horizon with a nostalgic hue..."so we felt a certain type of nostalgia for this particular future..." And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
