Antoni Maiovvi’s debut EP on Italo Moderni with four original tracks influenced by the Bakalao from Valencia in the 90’s. The so-called ”Ruta Destroy” was a direct hit to the “Movida Valenciana” and consisted of the largest clubbing movement in Spain. It started in certain aspects the clubbing movement in the country, and had long-term consequences on the form of nightlife in Spain. Including a remix by Jensen Interceptor and Cardopusher.

She was nervous, it showed through the tense, precise fashion in which she moved and the grimace on her face as each person passing smiled her way. This was the opportunity of a lifetime, something she had dreamt of with eager excitement since she was very little. However, now as she stood beneath the towering concrete of a fabulous stadium she began to wonder whether she really was the flexible girl and the dancer all those people thought her to be... It was a tall order. 

Pedro Vian is set to release a new album on his own Modern Obscure Music, the Barcelona based producer has a fierce reputation for producing high class electronic music with an individual twist. The package comes with formidable remixes, one of which is from Cardopusher.

It's been a while but we have a few great records coming up. And we're happy to announce that our next records will be available outside of France through the infamous Boomkat distro.

First off, France Sauvage. France Sauvage ("Wild France" in French) is Arno Bruil, Johann Mazé and Manuel Duval playing electronics, synths and drums. They’ve been breaking ground for more than ten years and there aren't many stones in the European DIY venue circuit that they’ve left unturned in their wake as a band or under other their solo monikers (Descendeur, Le Cercle des Mallissimalistes, Rien Virgule, Ensemble UN, Lord Rectangle etc).

Their unique sound deceives attempts to compare. It couldn’t have formed without a strong tie to industrial music, outsider art, sound collage or dark wave, but it’s all fully digested and their sound goes well beyond these references. With no repertoire and no rehearsals, their music is a live improvised beast. It’s dense, tense, noisy, catchy and playful all at once.

The best way to describe them is to say that’s they’re one of the rare cases of an actual electronic live music band. Their use of a wide range custom-built electronic instruments shows no self- indulgence in virtuosity – every part of their performance output, from the sound to the overall progression is extremely tight.

Welcoming them to In Paradisum feels special, as their concert was the first time we stepped into the legendary experimental music venue Les Instants Chavirés in Paris. France Sauvage's imagination probably and subconsciously helped define the lines of direction around the music which we’ve been publishing on our label since then.

With no surprise given their live focus, a good half of the band’s output so far have been live outtakes, sometimes including audience noise. This one, though, feels recorded straight from a garage studio. Surprisingly, it sounds more like a "proper album" – a notion they would probably laugh at. Thanks to its clearly defined and varied songs, there is a strong sense of narrative that permeates throughout the entire album.

The album has the edge of Pan Sonic if they had gone to the countryside for a feast or sonically channels the twisted mindset of the famous 20 Jazz Funk Greats album cover by TG. France Sauvage have sometimes described their music as "free rural" and maybe this record is the best example of it– communal music for the young century, a village orchestra for the forthcoming collision of locals and city-exploding bourgeois. Studiolo is a compilation made by our long time friend and cosmic music maniac Ygal Ohayon. He plays records since many years in Paris bars and club. Also know as The Basseleen along side with Vidal Benjamin they has been seen rocking’ a fair amount of dancefloor around Paris and abroad,. Ygal worked for Versatile records as label manager for more than 10 years and is now part of the Antinote family. We all met around 2005 and quickly got a deep interest for Cosmic Sound from 70's to 90's, playing for the tribute party "Cosmic Club" among others. Ygal was also involved in the Edit du Golem serie featuring, among others, a very interesting collection of cosmic songs.

Rough Drumbeats, quirky synths, and catchy vocal chops guide us through a sophisticated arrangement with unforeseen twists and turns.
Tolouse Low Trax delivers the ‘Knights & Wheels Remix’ in his signature style: While a hypnotic vocal loop hooks you up from the very beginning, minimalistic and dreamy synths slowly submerge the listener into a jam of stripped-down Lo-Fi funk.

The ‘Beat Mix’ by Rio de Janeiro’ sound wizard Carrot Green and long time family member of label, speeds up the tempo, and puts together a groove of classic electro boogie vibes with a P- Funky bassline that sounds like a futuristic liaison between Afrika Bambaataa and George Clinton.

Increasing the UK house vibe with strong drums and a wobbly bassline, Noema’s ‘Acid Ghetto Style Remix’ works the mysterious vocals of Anatta into a delicious hook and creates a highly animating and fun dancefloor monster.
