Familiar Strangers founder Remotif heralds the 30th release, complete with a digital-only remix from Youandewan.

The first half finds the Bristol mainstay at his deadliest. Harnessing pure proggy momentum, peak-time scorcher ‘In the Blink of a Cosmic Eye’ comes hurtling out the tracks. ‘It’s Inside U’ then keeps pace with more of that driving, fractal pressure. Tunnelling wormhole torque straight out the nether-realm.

Comparatively restrained but no-less mind-altering, the B-side embarks on a full-blown vision quest. Where breaks-fuelled cut ‘For Love or Money’ nods to early ‘90s bleep, ‘3AM in the Möbius Strip Club’ ushers into a chugging, ritual-ready space. Proper third-eye dilating stuff.

Finally, Youandewan fires up the particle accelerator for a direct, driving remix.

The flickering of static was all that was left behind as he scrolled and jumped between the channels to see if there had been some great and reckless mistake. Nobody had ever heard of a missing channel before – they were programmed to remain eternal and to guide viewers through the night. One by one they tuned in to make sure that they were kept safe from the powers above – watching, listening and receiving the stream. Now it was gone, they didn’t know what might follow next…

Romain FX - Lick It Good

The waterpark was open for business as the crowds poured in to celebrate the summertime. It was sunny out and the deep blue pools rippled in the glow of the morning sunshine as the people gathered and assembled in their swarms.

Above water there was a myriad of colours - wicked shiny plastic everywhere as if illuminating the land with some kind of fluorescent force. Slides and features, walls and wheels, signs and speakers. It was an assault on the senses as colour deafened all else.

The sound of splashing from the pools was loud as the tinny sound of music blared from loudspeakers all over the waterpark.

EZ Dee channels the early, nostalgic sound of classic House and Electro on a new EP which sounds as though it could of ripped through speakers in the early 90's. Hard hitting original sounds from Miami Beach for the true school heads in the club.

POH (Point of Hue): It’s all about colors. Closet Yi sees the world in vibrant hues, as a sonic exploration of her kaleidoscopic vision. Seeing herself as more of an observer than a doer, she testifies her unique perspectives of the world in each track with all different

Instinctively catchy and affecting, the four track dance EP is full of intricate textures, unexpected harmonies, and subtle sonic flourishes that reveal themselves with each listen. Written and mixed in her hometown, Seoul, the infectious EP is a collective of warm, floating yellow purple molecules in the air with introspective shades of cobalt and sage. As much as she has a wide spectrum of taste, Closet Yi cements her core to its place where the most exciting and new coming artists are now.
“POH (Point of Hue)” EP will be released on October 6th under Seoul based label Honey Badger Records.

Ático Corp. presents his third EP on his own label UFC, co-owned with also producer R.I.P Bestia. Simulación Ep is the name where you will find four cuts with breaks, electro and trance grooves in an always cyberdelic way. On the A side you have two versions of the same track, AT68. First original version with electro style and big bass leading the track and a second version remixed by german duo Not Even Noticed with a trance vibe oriented remix.

On the flip side, AT70 explores a more upfront breakbeat groove, with big drums, big pads and dreamy melodies. To close the Ep we have AT69, which provides a more trance-breakbeat track with some piano riffs and a lush bass.

Qnete’s back in the building for a third X-Kalay release and it’s an anticipated return for the prominent purveyor of prog. Four diverse but coherently related tracks with pit stops in deep house and electro territory

We open proceedings with a dose of the lysergic sound that has become his trademark since debuting on the label in 2021. Evoking ritual and ceremony, ‘Going Short‘ commences with choral pads that beckon to the altar. A slo-mo exercise in dancefloor hypnosis with trace echoes of bleep.

Where ‘Wrapped’ takes a turn toward mellow, ‘Stepperals’, like its A1 counterpart, recalibrates trance tropes into something more chugging and restrained. Another example of Qnete smudging his third eye on a tunnelling, wormhole flex.

And finally, the Leipzig native signs off with a nod to the American Midwest. Opening cerebral gates in a way that recalls classic Detroit In Effect, closing track ‘Circuit Friends’ taps into the futurist utopia imagined by Detroit electro’s pioneers.
