Less than a year after Botanical Illustration takes patience and Skill EP, Giovanni Natalini aka CO-PILOT, comes back on Simona Faraone’s label, New Interplanetary Melodies, with the Green Machine album, which is its natural prosecution: inside it we also find the three tracks previously published by the same label in audio cassette format only (NIM001- MC).
Green Machine is a concept album, which takes up and develops the ecological issues already treated by the artist in his previous work,
namely the increasingly tricky dichotomy between nature and machine and the harmful impact of humans on it.
The A side opens with the already published Botanical Illustration takes patience and Skill (A1), an 8 minutes suite in which the powerful Live drum breaks are perfectly combined with synths and vocal samples, transporting us to the tops of exotic mountains, to
continue with the ecstatic Himawari (A2) that sounds like a “desert session” made on Mount Fuji, for a result of pure musical mysticism
and finally, Mother Love Nature pt.1 (A3), a track that takes us back to more familiar territories, winking at the most experimental British
trip hop of recent memory and Mother Love Nature pt.2 (A4) characterized by a background of modular synths and nature sounds
effects that precede Giovanni’s powerful drums, underlining once again this perfect fusion of organic and synthesized sounds.
Side B opens with the psychedelic choruses of Dancing Like Fela (B1) supported by synthetic arpeggios and a frenetic drumline sounds
like a breakbeat. Continuing along this side, we come to the unsettling use of vocal samples on the beautiful Halo (B2), the ethereal and
danceable art-pop of Lost You - In Translation - (B3) to conclude with the evocative Playing the Zurna in Ulan Bator (B4), a track with
a pressing rhythm and elegant arrangements that once again underlines Giovanni Natalini’s mastery in mixing sounds and suggestions that are apparently far away but that always find the right place.
Green Machine sounds like a valid attempt to finally find a “solid” balance between humans and nature, but it also demonstrates how the continuous mixing of sounds is the most effective way to escape from the homologation that is increasingly widespread in contemporary society.

The two friends, Bruce the bat person and Vector Malevolent, combine their talents to deliver an explosive EP released on the Epicure Records label on March 27th.

At the heart of this EP lies the original track "Mé en Té", a bold creation that defies the conventions of cosmic dark disco, inviting both dance and introspective journeys.

"Mé en Té" is much more than just a musical track; it's a sensory experience where every note, every beat, transports the listener into a fascinating parallel universe. The composition is filled with surprises, including the unexpected arrival of a trumpet solo that enriches the sonic texture and adds palpable warmth to the whole.

Alemao, with his cosmic and euphoric vision, chooses to remove the trumpet to create an even more immersive atmosphere.

Cosmosolar, on the other hand, opts for an ultra-club remix, skillfully blending hypnotic acid sounds for an unforgettable dance experience.

F.U.R.O. takes us on an epic journey, slower but equally captivating, evoking almost the epic battles of Final Fantasy game.

Giorgio Isaev, meanwhile, offers a dark and rave remix, evoking the feverish atmosphere of Berlin warehouses in the early hours.

Finally, Nick Hanzo closes the show with his signature rhythmic and transporting beats, adding an extra dose of raw energy and irresistible groove to this already impressive collection.

PREMIERE : Bruce The Bat Person & Vector Malevolent – Mé En Té (Nick Hanzo Remix)[Epicure Records]

Ben Smith is the Australian-based artist called Templé, who introduces a fusion of sound from disco’s past and techno’s future in his ‘Who You Are’ EP. It is set for release under his newly launched imprint, Templé Musiq created as a home for his own releases. The EP features the vocal talents of Quartz Pistol, Giacomo Gutilla and Dan Tyler on horns, and a remix by the King of the nu disco, Prins Thomas. Along with these collaborators Luke Million has jumped on the final mix down and production, adding a sprinkle of his hifi disco magic across the EP. 
 
Templé has released previously on Prins Thomas’s Internasjonal no less, and on Midnight Riot & Black Riot.  He has shared the decks with a ton of great acts down under like Rick Wilhite, Osunlade, Trus’me, Rahaan, Alkalino, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Hidden Spheres and Harvey Sutherland. During these plays ‘Who You Are’ has been well and truly tried, tested, and stamped!
 
The opener storms out of the gate with its 303-acid line and drum machine build up. Prins Thomas provides a shimmering rework of the title cut, this luminary of the electronic scene adds his Nordic magic the way that only he knows how, delicately weaving his disco sensibilities into the original, flipping it on its head, and stirring up all those magical disco feels. ‘Wait For Love’ is a powerhouse tune that is driven by rolling acid lines and a saxophone solo that lands right in the sweet spot.  Closing out is ‘The Tetrah’, a departure from the rest of the EP. It's deeper and more intricate side features a soulful interplay of sax and trumpet that tease and tantalize each other, never quite aligning until the final drop.

Etienne Bel started out as a DJ and gradually developed his own producer's style. In 2016, he inaugurated the discography of his Pavel project with the release of a track on the Czech label Neo Violence.
Numerous others followed, notably on Eclect Rec., Sbire, Creaked Records and finally on Blizzard Audio Club, the stable that the artist co-founded and in which he now centralises all his new releases.
His debut album 'Busy Being Broken' (2019) was named 'best Swiss electronic music album of 2019' by national radio station SRF3 (programme 'CH Beats').
Through his alias Pavel, Etienne Bel - who is also behind the Estelle Zamme project - expresses ultra- personal, emotional and fairly dramatic music. It's a distinctive kind of electronica, made up of metallic squeaks, ethereal synthesizers, frantic rhythms and a touch of acidity.
In 2024, Pavel returns with 'Environment', his second album. Official release on May 3rd, 2024.

5 years after his debut album "Busy Being Broken", producer and musician Pavel returns in 2024 with a new LP, this time dealing with the theme of the natural environment, the host of all life on Earth.
"Environment" is a concept album based on samples recorded by the artist over a period of several months throughout Switzerland. Rockfalls, the lapping of a lakeshore, a cracking glacier, winds cutting through fir trees, the massive hum of a waterfall, ice cubes colliding, the oozing of a cave, and so on. These audio recordings were used as a starting point to construct eight tracks faithful to Pavel's style: (dis)twisted electronica, elegant, melancholic and wickedly dramatic.
For Pavel, "the pessimism of reason compels the optimism of will". This maxim, taken from Antonio Gramsci's "Prison Notebooks", sums up the essential message of the album.

By definition, "atonal" refers to composing music by obscuring tonal structures or by ignoring conventional harmonies altogether.

It is also the moniker that Loris Scaglia adopted to express himself creatively, rewritten with a diacritic across the second vowel to accentuate the idea of no restraint when it comes to sonic exploration. For the better part of fifteen years, ATØNAL has been a music enthusiast, experimenting with sound through different disciplines in the likes of music production, DJing and event curatorship.

Influenced by 90s and 2000s club music, ATØNAL has crafted his own signature style through a formidable eclecticism in the realm of Electronic Dance genres. Shifting between Bass, Breaks, Garage and Techno-infused sounds, he blurs genre barriers through sets as sharp as they are unexpected.

Although native to Lausanne, ATØNAL has explored the better parts of Romandy through residencies through nightclubs such as le Zoo. Now back in his home town, he holds a residency at Le Bourg as a co-founder of the platform Breakfast Club where he showcases the Swiss electronic scene through various projects he oversees. ATØNAL is one to proudly incorporate while simultaneously generously giving back to his community.

How does one stay authentic to their roots yet consistently evolve? Perhaps by intertwining the lines between the personal self and artistic persona. This avoidance of tradition to welcome innovation is something evident in his work. COUNTERBALANCE is a work ethic ATØNAL adopted to level his visual and sonic creative endeavours. A glimpse into his activities, whether by working in advertising during the day or the usage of cap locks in his titles, reflects an urge to be present and expresses that branding is very dear to him. An ongoing thought process in the separation and attachment to one’s self with a pseudonym to do just that: be loud.
