In 2018 The Fifty Eleven Project by Kasper Bjørke Quartet was released on Kompakt Records. It topped the critics' lists, and was included among The Guardian’s best contemporary albums. Four years later, with almost two years in the making, its follow up will be released on 28 October, 2022. 

Mother is a score that condenses 4.5 billion years into six compositions. It commences with the earth’s assemblage from gas and dust, and concludes with the suggestion of humankind's extinction, before the circle starts again. It is a bold statement on how our intelligence is also the catalyst for our demise, though the earth itself will win in the end. 

Its first single, “Miocene,” represents the evolutionary shift of primates into archaic humans. Cascading arpeggios and swelling strings imply Homo habilis’ curiosity, during eons of discovery. It offers no hint of the hubris intrinsic to modern humankind's eventual arrival, with its pioneering and destructive dichotomy, that will ultimately be its undoing, “Miocene” exists in a liminal period of revelation.

NIKKNAME returns to Freeride Millenium for a new EP with remixes from Benjamin Fröhlich and Mufti, and artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.
NIKKNAME is a Austrian based producer who has appeared on this label's IMPACT compilation as well as releasing on Ombra International, Traum Schallplatten and Mangali. He is very much at the heart of the scene in Vienna and puts his musical talents on display once again here.
His opener, 'Bankai' is a rugged and muscular disco cut. The strident drums march into the future as cosmic waves and corrugated basslines flesh out the most steamy and propulsive groove. 'Ume' then brings even more brightness with loopy synth arps spiraling up to the heavens as synth bass and slapping drums make for a glamorous disco sound. A spine-tingling breakdown allows the synth work to shine before taking off once more. There are plenty of layers to the sleek and seductive 'Onira Tasaki', from the shiny bell melodies to the chunky drum funk and shimmering chords. It's another sensuous disco sound designed to bring both emotion and power to the dance floor.
First to remix is Benjamin Fröhlich, Permanent Vacation Records co-founder and another friend of Freeride Millenium who released on IMPACT. His Rave version of 'Ume' is just that - six minutes of colourful, freewheeling house with old-school chord stabs, jostling breakbeats and an overflow of euphoric emotion.
Last to remix is Mufti, a Mexican producer and contemporary disco tastemaker known for his work on Her Majesty's Ship. He zones out with far-sighted chords and a deep bassline that suspends you in mid-air, gazing at the cosmic keys and lost in a dreamy groove.
This is characterful disco from the ever-excellent Freeride Millenium.

https://soundcloud.com/daviddouglasmusic is back on his home label Atomnation with a series of new singles. First up is 'Don't Bother Losing' which finds him striking an excellent balance between electronica, vintage house, acid, and synth-heavy pop influences. 

Dutchman Douglas has been a core part of the Atomnation family for a decade. In that time he's dropped four vital albums and several 12"s, all of which showcase his ever-evolving and deeply melancholic take on electronic music. His last outing was 2021's Escapism ‎album which went from underground club sounds to summery pop grooves - often embracing an indie sensibility that blends the organic with the synthetic.

The sublime new single 'Don't Bother Losing' pairs raw and jostling drums with an aching lead synth and yearning vocal. It's a beautiful sound that eventually transforms: first into something filled with hope as the synths get lighter, brighter, and more freeform, then into a darker and more club-ready territory with twitchy acid stabs and bulky bass.

ORIGINS, the third personal Iloh’s project is about these simple questions that no-one can answer. A singular album between ambient, IDM and techno tracks that makes you wonder. It is not about getting answers, it’s a relief, an escape, a confession.

An idea, a concept, a world at the surface, in-between idm, ambient and techno. Here you are, in Iloh’s world.
After releasing two electronica EPs full of emotions and organic rhythms, he won the Diggers Factory Challenge which allowed him to see his first EP on vinyl and participate in a project at Le Panthéon de Paris last summer.
He is coming back after almost two years of producing music for theater companies with this third album that contains a strong, dramatic and cinematic atmosphere.

Passionate about technique and synths, Iloh finds his means of expression with his machines through different lives where he can experiment and modulate the sound depending on the concept and the crowd in front of him. He also express himself through dj set that are equally captivating.

Premiere : Iloh - Artefact (Origins Ep)

Berghain/Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara returns to Permanent Vacation with his fourth studio album "See You In Paradise". After the highly acclaimed "Nothing Stays In One Place For Long" EP from 2020, this is the first full-length from the Italian-raised and Berlin-based producer for the label. Albums in the dance music genre can often be a challenge in terms of finding the right balance between the dancefloor and listening at home. Massimiliano, however, mastered this craftmanship perfectly while reviving the art of the album format. Mostly written and produced in the lockdown period of spring 2020 these 10 tracks offer the whole sonic spectrum from the "Massi universe". The hardware enthusiast blends analogue-heavy and bright synthesizer melodies, pop hooks, Chicago house groove with more technoid tracks and atmospheric soundscapes. Taking you on a journey through his mind, body and soul: From his underground disco passion and pulsating dancefloor moments to ethereal and meditative ambience. Inspired, both musically and aesthetically - one of his favourite carnal catchphrases titles the album - by Disco hero Patrick Cowley, Massimiliano channelled past, present and future in searching for new adventures within his music.

Swedish producer Ivan Berggren, aka Paresse, returns to Eskimo Recordings with the 'Animachine' EP,  4 brand new tracks of beautiful electronica that joins the dots between the cosmic disco of his fellow Scandinavian producers, the early Trance sound of Frankfurt labels like Eye Q and the even earlier machine music of bands like Kraftwerk. https://soundcloud.com/paresse

It is the latter band whose philosophical fingerprints, at least, are most visibly present on this new EP that was inspired by Berggren's wrestling with the age-old question of just what we are, simply biological machines running on electrical impulses and chemical reactions, or vessels filled with some ineffable spirit. The glacial Journey of the Heart slows things right down, taking us deeper into ambient house territory, its chugging beat, pulsing synths and piano chords sparkling like the first frost catching the sun.

With releases on labels like Eskimo, Frau Blau and Correspondant, and collaborations with artists such as Titiyo, Paresse's small but perfectly formed discography that's draw upon the sounds of electronica, dub, Italo disco its easy toes why his records have found favour with DJs from across the musical spectrum from Yuksek and Jamie Jones to The Organism and Phillipi & Rodrigo onto the likes of Purple Disco Machine and Ewan Pearson.
