For over a decade, COHN has been crafting his unique blend of house music. The DJ and producer, from London, combines crisp beats and rich synth lines to ignite speakers and dancefloors with his disco and Italo-infused creations. Now, he arrives at Bordello with a new EP, “Kafka in the Sheets”, featuring four tracks.

The EP kicks off with “Margiela in the Streets”. Driven by a steady snare and a pulsating arpeggiator, a soaring melody of analogue arcs sails skyward.“Balearic Sun” awakens the listener with birdsong and bongos. A relaxing, revitalising and re-energising experience, guiding hearts and minds through an audio oasis of light wind instruments and soothing samples.

The energy ramps up with the powerful “Uptown and Queens.” A HI-NRG-inspired rhythm is set to a steady march, delivering a workout of wry smiles and bold builds. The EP concludes with “Let’s Groove On”, a track that welcomes the dawn. Classic hi-hats and toms are garnished with a low whistle while juddering vocals push the track forward, making it the perfect last dance before sunrise.

Rising Bristol star JOELY brings 2 hot B side tracks which show how hot a talent he is at such a young age. Hive Mind creates a playful grit which will get a dance floor moving in the early hours of a set, providing a steady rhythm which never wavers. Jungle Walk takes us down a darker, ethereal path which will make any soundsystem wobble with the thick wonky textures that JOELY expertly weaves in. Mind this gap.

Ecstatic Peace is more than a musical offering — it's a proposition that peace and ecstasy can coexist on the dance floor. These tracks portray a yearning for better times, serving as both wishful thinking and a coping mechanism for producer Davin Varda.

Compelled to channel his frustration with the current state of affairs into a more constructive effort, Varda has created two powerful tracks. Find Peace in Every Way takes a deep dive into house music's past, recalling pianos, organs, and vocal manipulation techniques while giving the track a modern edge with a sub-aquatic bassline and crispy drums.

Is Ecstasy echoes this nostalgic sentiment, referencing both classic bittersweet '90s house anthems and elements from the heyday of Motown records. It's the perfect end-of-night tune, inspiring hands-in-the-air moments and dance floor embraces.

Together, these tracks offer a journey through time and emotion, reminding us of music's power to unite and uplift, even in challenging times.

Although the seven-inch is the smallest of the vinyl formats, it can pack a real punch. This is certainly the case with Bordello A Parigi’s latest discovery, Real Velour. This mysterious outfit draws on a spread of influences for Champions. Warm strings of throbbing bass and crisp drums dawn into shining synthlines as elements of indie and synth-pop melt. Chords are addictive, memorable hooks of pure joy countered by bittersweet lyrics that tell a sorrow-streaked story of calamitous change and dead-end dreams. Split Street was remixed by Sapphist Eye, a french DJ and producer (with previous EPs signed on Lumière Noire and Les Disques du Lobby), bringing a very groovy dark disco vibe to the track. The other remix is from Micro.Tron, a hardware producer from Argentina, famous for his unofficial remix of "Paranoid London - Eating Glue".

Dusty was remixed by Laion, a french producer from Amsterdam. The remix is an indie dance with a dark disco and acid touch.
