Dark Temple is the debut vinyl release of AVIVX, a young and talented queer DJ and producer. Born in Kazakhstan, AVIVX moved to Georgia a few years ago and has held several DJ residencies in the clubs of Tbilisi and Batumi.

He attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo at the age of 21, where his original music was described as distinctly unique, blurring the lines between East and West.His DJ sets oscillate between Chicago house, New Beat, Italo, trance, techno old and new, generating a vortex of playful queer techno euphoria.

After a couple of digital releases, Dark Temple is AVIVX's first release on vinyl. On the 4 tracks, the melancholic Eastern vibes and melodies are woven into a thick energetic house blanket. The sound is irresistible, resulting in a warm and uplifting trance.

Following the relaunch of her label Twirl alongside Shaun J. Wright, Alinka now brings her brand new EP 'I'm Your Ghost' to Radio Slave's Rekids. Having made frequent appearances within its catalogue, her 'I'm Your Ghost' EP sees the Ukranian-born, Chicago-raised and Berlin-residing producer return with four eclectic and club-orientated house tracks. These will sit amongst her previous releases on Permanent Vacation, Needwant, HE.SHE.THEY and Crosstown Rebels.

'Teachers' is the first cut presented on 'I'm Your Ghost' with its sharp percussive layers building towards the well-honed grooves in its composition. Title-track 'I'm Your Ghost' punches through next with weighty, wobbling subs placed against a catchy lead. 'I Still Believe' is featured with rising chord progressions and pounding kicks as '909 Lives' draws the EP to a close with an intricate mix of synths and striding drum work, paying homage to its title. It’s a package highlighting why Alinka is on an unstoppable rise, with support from some of the biggest names across house music.

There’s a clear Drexciyan influence here with plenty of dystopian drama but things are disrupted with the likes of ‘Tunnel’ serving up raw 4/4.

Sei A - Tunnels

The sky was alive with a roaring melody and an electric undercurrent. Travelling through the early morning they would soon arrive at their destination on the other side of the globe, a magic ride with a spectacular touchdown. The plane hummed and buzzed as the mechanics began to spring into life, the wings moved under the strain of the robotics and inside the cabin the pressure dropped. It was a beautiful moment and the crowd in the base below began to cheer. This was flying. 

North Lake is a producer whom we have always felt to be remarkably underrated, previous appearances have seen him release prominently on Permanent Vacation, Resista, Origami Sound and Ellum Audio. Now he delivers a new EP for Phonica Records on their in house label.

Hazed and Confucius is a group of House, Lo-Fi House/Techno lovers based in Seoul, South Korea. Their goal is to spread and share their love of music through various parties, broadcasts and compilation albums with their guests and friends.
In their second compilation VA002, HZDCFC invites their friends to share their stories. Di Barsotti (Novaj 新し, France) reveal their love of Asia, DJ Spielberg and DJ Legwarmer (No, She doesn’t, Portugal) dig through Korean records, while KAZUHO and Romy Mats (N.O.S, Japan) criticize Japan’s strict regulation of night clubs. HZDCFC VA002 also contains tracks from local Korean talent DJ Bowlcut, Jae Young, Anchore and Monika who all contribute warm and hazy house tracks.
