Following releases on FXHE, Planet-E, Beretta Music and Deeplabs, Detroit-based house and techno producer Brian Kage gears up to release his debut album through his own label Michigander...'Detroit Techno City' is our pick from the album. Kicking off with a floating, delicate techno groove, Kage drops bubbling synth pads and steamy basslines that erupt into RJB's Detroit-soaked rhapsody. It feels like an anthem dedicated to long-forgotten factories in the Mid-West, replete with nostalgia.

Maestro and Tabache are great friends and met in August 2022 for the last time before Maestro left Bologna and returned to live in Germany. So they decided to meet in Maestro’s studio to say goodbye for the last time and do their first jam session.

When tabache arrived he repeatedly pushed the doorbell (track1 “Campanello”), then entered and found in Maestro’s house also his young brother Trombetta that therefore casually joined in the jam. They played all day till night, stopping just for a pizza (track 2) ordered in the “Favela” (track 3) restaurant under their house.

The EP is nothing more than the documentation of the 3 most intense moments of those hours.

It was all composed with analog instruments, some old organs, one ms-20, some samplers, Elektron RYTM and some weird synths.

Kelton Prima is a parisian DJ and producer who starts making music in the late 80’s as a member of a computer demo band called Future Minds, using only an Atari ST and later a Commodore Amiga. In the early 90’s, highly inspired with house and techno played in underground rave parties he starts spinning records in clubs and parties throughout France, produces his own tracks and performs his first hardcore/breakbeat live in Gibus club at a Mental Confusion parties.
In 1998 he gets professionally involved in music distribution and retail in Toulouse where he meets Pilooski with whom he collaborates few years later within Inkorporation collective. At the same time they run Ind.rec label releasing eclectic stuff from soul to electronica. He also produces under D_Tekt moniker and writes some articles and reviews for musical press. He also worked on video, multimedia installations or musical performances with various contemporary artists such as the French photographer Lionel Bayol-Themines or the E/I collective.
From there he goes back to his first passion: disco and electro-funk, he produces then The Arrival EP on belgian label Disco Praline, EP’s and LP for Jamal Moss’ Chicago based imprint Mathematics Recordings, various digital and 12" releases on Pizzico Nobel and remixes for Alvina Red, Hard Ton, Thieves Like Us and Plastique de Rêve among others.

Soiree Records continue turning heads with their latest various artist offering, "Everland". Hitting shops from June 17, 2024 - this record feels like a cross-section of what the label has been offering the ever shifting sands of the Deep House scene in recent years. Brought to life by the deft artistry of Drivetrain, Blaktony, Funtom, and Hughes Giboulay.

"Everland" is a collection of timeless Deep House music, written through the unique lenses of the four artists, each track a chapter in a larger story of musical exploration and emotive depth. "Hyperlock" by Drivetrain opens the EP and sets the foundation with its solid low-freq assault and seismic energy levels, an exploration of depth and dynamism. Following this, Blaktony's "Butt Naked" establishes its own style with its unique but catchy bassline, weaving a narrative that is both danceable and resonant in a more laid back manner.

Funtom's "Wisdom" relies on rhythmic sophistication with its tribal beats and deep drum workout, punctuated by sharp, intelligent sequences. Closing the record, Hughes Giboulay's "Kickin That Feelin" captures the character of early proto-house, with its animated vocal work and a hypnotic solo, blending traditional Deep House elements with innovative sound design.

Lumberjacks In Hell is the Amsterdam based label run by Marcel Vogel that was established in 2010 and has long been a great source of leftfield club tunes. Having worked with a variety of international artists like Jamie 3:26, Philou Louzolo, Rayko, Karizma and Giovanni Damico, LJIH proudly presents its first release in two and half years from Lu/Lu & LYMA with ‘Hotmoltenlava’.
 
Production duo Lucas van Ee and Tjerk Lammers are collaborators extraordinaire, brothers speaking in code and working in unison, a hive mind of ideas and creativity that was always bound to erupt like a Vulcano. Lu/Lu & LYMA is a side project of the Amsterdam based LIKEMINDS, and together they share a studio together on the outskirts of the city. Both Artists are heavily involved in the local music scene, a scene that defies genre in favour of more sonic adventures. As part of this ever-merging network of collaborators, Lu/Lu & LYMA also manifest their music in a vibrant live set.

"Late Night City Tracks" is a small label based in Stockholm releasing limited edition cassettes. LNCT 003 is named "Unfathomable Volumes of Light" and comes from Dj City, the founder of the label. The title track was written during a few cold and dark nights in Kyiv around new years eve 2016 and is driven by the energy present in the Ukrainian winter and the young rave scene there. Dj City has previously been featured on releases from Rat Life records, Born Free records and Cyctema. Alongside you'll also find remixes of the title track by Obgon (Moscow), MaxxBas (KWC '92/ L.I.E.S, Stockholm) and featured here, Empfänger aka Sling & Towlie(Born Free, Stockholm). The artwork is made by berlin based artist Marcus Knupp. All tapes are signed and numbered. Official release is on the 1st of October 2016 !
